That sounds like a desperate laugh. Trump beat Clinton in the Time poll 55% to 45% and in the CNBC poll 67% to 33%, but ABC is the only poll that gave them four choices and what this shows is that Clinton's support is so fragile that much of it fled to Johnson and Stein because of her performance in the debate. I didn't bother mentioning the Breitbart or newsmax polls because they would be mostly among right leaning voters, just as the CNN poll, according to Nate Silver, was mostly by Democrats.

I'm debating whether to stay home. If enough of us did, it might send a message. Still got that Trump Fear, though.
There is no rational basis for having "that Trump fear" but there certainly is good reason to be fearful of a Clinton presidency.
You actually feel real fear, or are you just concerned?

On November 9, I get up, check the news, shake my head a bit, roll my eyes a little, and get on with my business.
.
Well, America would survive a Clinton presidency and I'll survive it, but I have no doubt a Clinton presidency would do real damage the nation and the world. She seems determined to stoke up a new Cold War with Russia which means no resolution of the fighting in the ME or in eastern Europe will be possible. Does this mean more American soldiers will be put at risk? I hope not.

What she calls her economic plan, tax investment capital out of the private sector and give it to government bureaucrats to spend on politically popular projects is a formula for a stagnant economy and high inflation like the one we had in the 1960's and 1970's, before Reagan revived the economy with his tax cuts. She would likely do harm to all of us with this policy.

Her refusal to seriously address the damage being done to our economy by Clinton era trade deals she campaigned for like NAFTA and WTO rules means that the drain of jobs and companies from the US would continue unabated during a Clinton presidency and we will have to continue to sell off our economic assets to pay our bills.

Her refusal to seriously address our porous southern border means that during a Clinton presidency not only would illegal immigrants be able to take jobs away from Americans and keep wages low, but that drug smugglers and other criminals and perhaps even terrorists would have easy access to the US.

Her willingness to support any wild charge against law enforcement means police would operate more defensively allowing criminals more leeway and driving up crime rates.

And it is impossible to estimate the damage she would do to our government based on the spectacular display of corruption and incompetence she showed us in handling the email debacle and enlisting government agencies in the cover up.

America would survive and I would survive, but we would all be worse off.

Funny- that is exactly how I see a Trump Presidency- but more apocalyptic.

Trump seems determined to signal to Russia and China- and our allies that the United States can not be relied upon to respond to Russian or Chinese aggression, or fulfill our treaty obligations to defend our allies. That kind of signal can lead nations to aggression where otherwise they wouldn't. And that could mean one of two results- either America watching as Russia rebuilds the former Soviet Union all the way to Poland......or more American soldiers dying because a Donald Trump realizes that abandoning Europe is not in America's best interest. And if Trump is committed to keeping the U.S. out of the Middle East- what is his 'secret plan' for dealing with the danger of ISIS?

What Trump calls an economic plan is a recipe for a worldwide trade war. Trump has proposed levying a 30% tax on imports from Mexico and China- which would violate every treaty the U.S. is part of. China and Mexico would retaliate with 30% or more on American imports- which would destroy the American agriculture industry, along with all of the high tech industry. 30% duties on products from China and Mexico would largely harm the poorest Americans- and a Trade War- with nation after nation imposing retaliatory duties- would lead to Worldwide Depression. The next Great Depression. Trump's trade policies would harm us all.

Trump's border policy consists of big empty promises. 'Our porous southern border' has never been less porous- but you wouldn't know it hearing from Trump. He promises a great big wall- that Mexico will pay for. But Mexico won't. I will give Donald this- even finally moved to Clinton's position on allowing a legal status for current illegals. Trump never once suggests penalizing employers for hiring illegals- or requiring employers to verify that their employees can legally work in the U.S- which is the draw for illegal immigration. Remember- Trump is the only one who has been accused of hiring illegal workers- and is the only one who has hired foreign workers to work in his United States resorts. Why anyone thinks Trump actually cares about foreign competition baffles me based upon his business record.

Trump's 'business' record is a record of business failures, and bailouts at other people's expense. Trump always blames others for anything that happens- and never accepts any personal blame. Worse of all, Trump is thin skinned and petulant. Not a trait that will work in international affairs.

From your 'polls'

A disclaimer: Online reader polls like this one are not statistically representative of likely voters, and are not predictive of how the debate outcome will affect the election. They are a measure, however imprecise, of which candidates have the most energized online supporters, or most social media savvy fan base. After all, what they are counting is the number of Internet-devices controlled by people who want to vote.

Online polls are notoriously not worth spit. You might as well go with the fake ABC News online poll, it's not much more irrelevant than these.

I never thought much of them either, but then I read Nate Silver's article this morning and he says historically they have been pretty good predictors of the post debate bounce in the polls.

No he didn't. He said CNNs poll tracked accurately, not online polls. Nate Silver also expects Clinton to increase in the polls after the debate.

Clinton Won The Debate, Which Means She’s Likely To Gain In The Polls

Who here at USMB is actually still undecided?

I am guessing we have some people here who are trying to decide whether to vote third party or mainstream- so those votes might be in play.

Is there anyone else?

About 30% claim to be undecided.

Traditionally, undecideds don't vote.

My guess is that most of those who are undecided won't bother to vote, and about 20% of Hillary supporters won't bother to vote.

rdean and Candy Corn will cast 10 votes each, so that will offset the apathy somewhat. The party will bus as many illegals to the polls as humanly possible. California will be rife with "Hola, me nombre es Ho Chu Wang," since no ID required.

I fear the traditional democrat fraud may have a greater impact than usual. But I still think Trump will win.

I don't agree.

I don't think American can survive a Clinton presidency.

Not because of anything the gangster will do as president, but because of who she appoints to SCOTUS. She has vowed to put the most corrupt, anti-American scum in the nation on the bench. Two of the ilk of Sotomayor and the Bill of Rights ends. When that happens, then civil war erupts

We are a powder keg already, a small spark and the nation goes up in flames..

Why didn't Clinton "fans" show up at these sites? Because her support is not as firm as enthusiastic as his. Will this lack of enthusiasm keep them from showing up at the polls on election day, too?
