People who are educated and intelligent, sorry to say, tend to have small families. This has always been true, even before the advent of artificial birth control. (Regrettably, it is profoundly true among educated and professional "Blacks"). This is why rich white men have tended to have paramours of various kinds once they reach prosperous middle age.

In Europe, the "problem" is even more acute. None of the white European populations is having kids at even a bare replacement rate. Even Italy and Greece - formerly known for big families - have native populations that are, relatively speaking, dying out. (Russia is worst of all - but who cares about Russia?).

As a result those countries NEED lots of immigrants, to work and pay taxes so that the white natives can retire comfortably as promised. This is why Merkel has perversely been so supportive of the Syrian refugees - most of whom are "middle class" and expect to be gainfully employed in the future.

In the U.S., the "problem" can be solved by using the solution proposed by television and film writers: Everyone needs to reproduce with people of other races, so that within a hundred years or so we will all be mongrelized and no one will give a shit about race or ethnicity.
