When Judging a presidents performance, do we add interest to his debt?

    When Judging a presidents performance, do we add interest to his debt?

    The Liberals with GWB and with RR add the interest of debt inherited over the 16 years
    For example in 07 The GOP budget/GWB budget was within 162 billion of a balanced budget
    the cost of the Iraq war alone

    But the Libs claim its closer to 600-700 billion because of the interest of the previous +-230 years
    Of course they do not use it when it comes to Clinton

    Why is that?
    why would you state that Obama has added close to 4 trillion instead of what he really has added
    about 1/2 of that?
