Congress did not oppose the legal power of the President to temporarily restrict refugees from entering this country without being better vetted.

That's probably because DT can't draft an EO in such a way that it looks politically correct.

FACT CHECK: Did President Obama Ban Muslims from Entering the United States in 2011?
Who cares about PC? Does he have the legal authority? If so, then craft the EO in such a way as to be unchallengeable.

Better yet, get Congress to write law that cannot be challenged in the SCOTUS.

As a sidenote: I worked as a freelance programmer during 3 years. In that specific case, the "capitalist who had an original idea and vision, invested and risked capital to make that vision come true and provide you with an opportunity to earn wealth" was me.

But, again, granted, without capitalism that wouldn't be possible. I just like avoiding the extreme cases of capitalism, and a minimum income is one of the possibilities ( again , following a rationale that it can't exceed 10%- 12% of gdp).

Welfare programs have been part of the US history for a very long time, and people just tend to forget about that so quickly.

When you were the capitalist, did you approach it as a game? Because when I think of a game, I think of something you do for fun or amusement. I did play an online game for many years called Kapilands. It's a German browser game where you build a company and run it. I think I made it to 3rd in the world on total assets. I also like playing Tycoon Online sometimes. But when I ran businesses in the real world it wasn't a game at all. It was business. My objective wasn't to be amused or have fun, it was to make money.

I'm sorry but your idea of a minimum income IS a game. It would become a game of seeing how little you could get away with doing to maintain the minimum. Those who could get away with doing the least would be the winners. So your game rewards less productivity. In an open free market productivity is rewarded not penalized.

Welfare programs have one major problem. They don't work. All they ever manage to do is build a dependency class. Just because we have a long history of them doesn't mean they are good.

the POTUS, whose policies are all over the board.
1) privatize health care is Republican not all over lot
2) Gorsuch too
3) regulations too
4) wall to keep out liberal illegals too
5) tax cuts too

How odd, you were wrong again!!
Renegociating / cancelling trade agreements is what exactly ?
And what about barring newspapers from the white house?
The wall? that's a Trump Idea. Quite useless if you ask me . It could have been usefull 15 years ago.

Add to that the fact that Putin probably helped Donald become US president because he considers him a dimwit he can blackmail.

Coloful candidate ... not "bright" or smart.Ups.
LOL. Here you were pretending to be a curious objective truth seeker then you unleash the leftist propaganda smears. So much wrong with what you just said.

Getting rid of TPP and possibly NAFTA and renegotiating trade deals means one on one agreements on trade as opposed to blanket collective deals where little individual agreements exist. You say you're a businessman? Or was that an employee? Regardless, would you prefer your salary, hours, benefits, etc. were defined by a group or would you prefer to negotiate your own? As a business owner for 32 years I can tell you you will always do better if you can call your own shots.

By Putin probably helping Trump you mean the email leaks? So what you are saying is the revelation of DNC corrupting may have impacted the election. I doubt it because as I've been saying, the right already knew and the left doesn't care.

Democrats can't win in the arena of ideas. Their policies simply don't work. Their only hope for power is to convince people that the other guy is worse. Republicans aren't just wrong, they are evil. This time around people were fed up enough of limping along economically and what's been happening to our country and had a candidate willing to fight back against the king makers that Trump pulled it off.

When someone says that fake media is the enemy of the American people and said media reports the he said the media is the enemy of the American people then they just proved his point. You seem intelligent but you obviously bought their propaganda. Hook, line and sinker. Why invite a proven dishonest propaganda outlet to your press conferences? Does the National Enquirer have a right to be there too?

Boss,
I am a computer scientist, but most of my life I have been installing, configuring and adapting enterprise resource planning software for large companies, my hobby is AI. Each day I am more concerned about what it can do.

Okay, so your livelihood has come from a capitalist who had an original idea and vision, invested and risked capital to make that vision come true and provide you with an opportunity to earn wealth. Without capitalism, that opportunity wouldn't exist.

There's no denyial of that. But that doesn't either change my viewpoint of capitalism-as-a-game.
totally stupid and liberal as always, of course. Capitalism is a game and socialism is a giraffe????

Ed,
Being called stupid by someone who is considered to have the writting skills of a spambot is laughable.

dear, you said capitalism is a game and apparently thought that was a meaningful comment. So tell us what socialism is if not a game too or perhaps it's a giraffe?? How will you learn if you are so afraid to try??

Do y'all liberals have any proof of Putins so called help yet, we are still waiting for that concrete proof .
Oh, and a link to a CNN report is not proof, sorry.

Well , yes, it was some sort of game, ( but if I lost I would be jobless and get no paycheck, so I had a very clear incentive to do my job well ). I did learn a lot of stuff in those projects.

And yes, you still get penalized, you simply can't starve, be malnourished or completely homeless ( it will probably be a very small home or house shared with someone in the same situation).
... And yes , that's pretty much the idea.
About two years ago I concluded those manufacturing jobs that went to China would never camo back, industrial production has already surpassed pre 2008 levels, but the jobs are nowhere to be found... automation.

No , it is not proof that he has helped , it is proof that Putin thinks Donald is a "colorful" candidate ( e.g. a clown).

Sory Ice Weasel,
But that was a conversation between Special Ed and me, filled with sarcasm, as he seems so infatuated about free trade. But now that DT is POTUS, he has seem to change his mind.
TPP was opaque and I am actually glad it was put to rest. NAFTA , should never had been fast-tracked , and should have started only with US and Canada. Mexico wasn't ready. The resulting wave of immigrants was a consequence that no economist foresaw.

And well, look at Putin's expression when they tell him if he thinks Trump is bright and intelligent. Then he says "colorfull" isn't he colorful?

Renegociating / cancelling trade agreements is what exactly ?
dear, its nothing exactly. If he gets a better deal for us that's great. Do you understand??
But not republican or conservative , that's my point : his policies and actions are all over the orbit.
He can do left one day and right the other, hell he can do both at the same time!

obviously far more conservative which is why conservatives love him!!!

i am doing things on a not for profit basis; that means, it is mostly for fun, not profit.
