if the point of the question was to point out the political disagreements between the world and isreal then they should have made a question about that. The topic should also be much different than the claim that trhe Obama admin doesn't know what the capital of isreal is. Are you really trying to imply that the Obama administration has no idea about the social and political problems with isreal after 4 years? If that is the question, then the goal of the entire thing is far more sinister as an attempt to provoke a negative reaction which could destabalize the area and situation with isreal further. The White House announced a new agreement with Israel expanding civilian, and military, cooperation. The timing of the announcement was specifically designed to undermine Romney's foreign policy trip and to position Obama as pro Israel.

Since reality actually exists, and in reality, people who attend new briefings at the White House actually pay attention to White house policy announcements, reporters ask specific questions that are related to those announcements.
