What's changed after Wisconsin?

" Labor Pains: In Pew’s poll, 64 percent said labor unions are necessary to protect the working person (33 percent disagreed). In the next question, 57 percent thought they had too much power (37 percent disagreed).

This poll was done back in April. The poll shows the progression of answers to various questions. The union questions are on page 43.

I personally care less about those polls than I do about the voting polls, which showed that the majority of people in Wisconsin felt the right thing was being done to limit the power of public unions in that state.

That being said the voting polls outcome agrees with the polling data you posted.

Mr. Walker was not crushed. He was buoyed, winning by a solid seven points in a high-turnout race.

The cheese tastes better now?

Absolutely an additional benefit- it's much easier to swallow after the faux hysteria stirred up by Big Labor interests. The fact that we can serve it with so much liberal whine is also noteworthy~

Seriously? another WI thread?

Nothing's changed, except that the WI Democrats picked up a state Senate seat.

You conservatives can get as excited as you want over this, the same way you got excited when Gingrich and Santorum won primaries.

Yep. The Dems gained a seat on a legislature that isn't doing anything till after the election in Nov.

You liberals can get as excited as you want over this, the same way you got excited when Barry decided to run for that second term.

Well, let's see- this is a major election year- and this was a fight picked by democrats. and lost by democrats. Big Labor lost the day- and that's a story that will continue beyond the election- get used to it.

Yes, democrats picked up a booby prize of one seat- barely. But in November they could also lose other seats.
