If a homeless vagabond asked him for food? Why he'd feed them from his own body of course. So why don't Christians do the same when it comes to voting on social welfare issues, or actually encountering such people out n about? Regardless of the many other realities and issues surrounding the homeless and unfortunate, if 80% of Americans believe in some kind of God shouldn't the homelss be much better off than they are with so many people concerned about what God thinks of them doing what God says to?

7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry
and bring the homeless poor into your house;
when you see the naked, to cover him,
and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
8 Then shall your light break forth like the dawn,
and your healing shall spring up speedily;
your righteousness shall go before you;
the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
- Isaiah 58

Christians understand the distinction between charity and taxes.
This holier than thou bullshit is remarkably funny. You accuse Christians of being "unchristian" because they balk at your demand that they pay more taxes to fund welfare.

The state collecting money via an imposed tax burden and then redistributing it to people they deem deserving is not charity.

I have provided a home for 5 homeless people in the last 4 years. All are back on their feet and I only had to toss one ungrateful SOB.

When you do as much, come talk to me about charity.

Christians donate more money than the average person to charity. They don't want to hand it to the government and let the government fuck things up with it.
