Assume the U..S. decided it needed to get ready for a major war what would American mobilization look like? Assume that a draft is off the table of course but beyond that what would it look like for the U.S. to be mobilized? What reserve and guard units would be called up and in what order? How would they be equipped? Where would they be sent once called up?

Just curious.

Pretty much like what you saw for Gulf War I, Afghanistan and Iraq wars. Units to be mobilized are tailored to the strategic situation and plan, some units take longer to get places than others, a lot of equipment is already there. It is what these people do, and they are actually pretty good at it. If you were a civilian and didn't notice last time, you probably won't notice if it comes to it next time.

The deep state and their media lapdogs would simply call the enslavement of Gen Z a "mobilization" rather than a "draft" or "conscription,. or some other synonym for slavery.

Whatever term they decide to call it, it would still be the Democratic party reinstituting slavery again, just like they did in WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.

Wash, rinse, repeat.... Granted,, history doesn't repeat itself, exactly, but it certainly rhymes.

BLING$$$$$$$$

FDR would have the FBI knocking on your door back in 1940 if you asked what American mobilization would look like. Nobody knows but we can only hope and pray that Biden won't lead us into a situation.

Don't kid yourself.

Stop underestimating your enemy. We've lost the last three wars we've been dragged into: Korea, Vietnam, and the Middle East. Even if is a purely defensive war, we'd be up shit creek with these idiots currently running the country.

To all so called "conservatives" who like to shit on our military for the FEW wackjob gender freaks enlisted, screw you.

The vast majority are patriotic Americans that would lay down their lives for our nation, and for you. They don't agree with some of the policies of the modern military brass, but in the military, it's put up and shut up. That's what they do.

At the division level, on posts such as Ft. Hood, you would see soldiers from mechanized and motorized brigades, battalions and companies loading their vehicles and gear on railroad cars and in rail car conex boxes. All of that materiel would then be transported to (likely) the nearest port and loaded onto ships, which would then set sail (presumably) for Europe this time, instead of the Middle East. Light infantry and airborne infantry would also pack some of their vehicles and gear on trains but they would put much of it on big cargo planes like the C-17/C-130/C-141 before boarding the same kind of planes and taking a nice relaxing flight courtesy of Uncle Sam. Some troops would be flown over on civilian airliners, we deployed that way a number of times. On military posts across the country troops would be packing themselves into on post gymnasiums for pre-deployment fun, and your more elite guys would basically be walking around the block to the airfield and climbing aboard cargo/transport planes with all their ready gear which had been sitting around packed and gathering dust in their cages or wall lockers. But that's the Army, I can't really comment on any other branch. I know we have a few Navy guys floating around around here.
