Not nearly as threatening, but a threat non-theless.

You won't see ME defending him.

BTW, what were the circumstances of his threat?

Was he responding to a VERBAL question or a PHYSICAL response?

You know some Paparazzi get too close.

I'd like to know more details.

Not defend him but minimize it, that's what you are doing. Interesting how the partisanship plays on the point of view.
We don't even know the full context of the story.

WTF are you talking about?!?!

If the offended party in either action wants to press charges, the should and both need to be investigated and go from there, just like any other citizen.

And that goes for both nut jobs, not just one, no partisanship, both men, dealt with if the offending parties press charges. Otherwise, it's a dead issue.

And if the Congressmen is guilty off his other charges he facing...oust him and get someone else.

Should it be ignored or dealt with?

And if it's dealt with, how should it be dealt with?

Should he or she have to resign?

Should authorities be called in and perhaps have them arrested?

What?

In any case, here's what a US Congressman did just last night...on Live TV!

GOP Congressman Threatens Reporter Live On Air | Crooks and Liars

It was a disgraceful set of things he said.

On the other hand, I suppose he was just shooting off at the mouth and not actually making any kind of threat with intent behind it.

What should be done?

Well, if you are a liberal and the offending Congresscritter happens to be a Republican, then OBVIOUSLY what "should" be "done" is keel hauling. Death by torture. Such like.

On the other hand, if you are a liberal and the Congresscritter were a Democrat, then you wouldn't even start a thread about it in a political message board.

amirite?
Wrong!

It should be dealt with in the same way as if anyone made such a threat. If convicted, then there should be dialogue about resignation. Innocent until proven guilty, let the authorities deal with it.

If his victim presses charges, but that doesn't look like it will happen, he has other issues that will probably lead to his resignation.

lol, now they fret over this shit as if Democrats have never threatened a reporter

good grief, write to Eric Holder maybe he'll arrest the guy for you I mean he's a danger to you:eusa_whistle:

Staph, do you actually have an example where a "Democrat" threatened a reporter?

Because your answer to everything seems to be some variation on "but, but, but.. Democrats!"

I'm not digging it up AGAIN for you people who act like this has never happened before

Anyway the guy apologized, isn't that suppose to let him off the hook by you libs standards?

He broke the law.

He should have been arrested followed by expulsion from the House.

So should've Billy Boy Clinton, bet you were First in line arguing for that
but hey, he just abused a woman and lied to our face and under oath

he should be forced to attend expensive mandatory anger management classes on Friday & Saturday nights for 6 months + and NOT be allowed to use a rw slush fund to pay for it

You're mistaken.

Clinton broke no laws.

He was impeached anyway.

Unlike Reagan, who DID break the law.

In any case, this thread isn't about either of those folks.

This thread is about Representative Michael Grimm, Congressman from Staten Island.

On camera, he threatened bodily harm on a reporter from NY1.

That's a crime.

Got a link that has a Democratic Congressman physically threatening a reporter?

Anyway, looks like this thing is blowing up more and more.

This back bencher that's currently under investigation for some shenanigans and wrongdoings is now nationally known for his bullying.

Exactly what the GOP needs at this time of his neighboring fellow-bully...Christie.

Good going.

And folks like yourself DEFENDING him and them at every turn isn't helping your cause either.

Keep it up!!

:clap2:

you little sheep act like you were just born yesterday

In this case, the reporter was sticking a camera directly in Salazar's face and the threat came after he repeated the action several times.

Again, would a regular citizen just be able to get away with a simple apology after such a stunt. A physical threat of violence...on live TV no less?

You and I both know that person would have already been arrested. At the very least.

Your last sentence brings up two issues. One, is there a need for the victim to bring charges after such a public violent threat? Would that have been the case were it anyone other than a public official? Two, his other issues are yet another manifestation of the culture of bullying that seems to be rife in the Republican Party.

Yeah, the fact it happened on TV changes EVERYTHING!

:lmao:

Let it go, dude. He's a degenerate LOLberal from Staten Island. That type of behavior here is actually well mannered.
