Something that comes to mind with the recent redefinition of pedophilia being a sexual orientation is does the law recognize people as having more than one sexual orientation? As in pedophile AND heterosexual/homosexual/bisexual/etc.?

Since challenges on discrimination law involving homosexuals are happening, is a judgement finding for the homosexual then going to create a legal conflict if that same homosexual later gets introuble and claims to be pedophile instead, or homosexual AND pedophile?

Anyone who has been on a calorie-restriction diet should understand how wrong, how very, very, very wrong you are. Can you will yourself to not eat or to not drink? Will you, after some time, eat even though you're telling yourself that you shouldn't, in other words, are you behaving in a way which runs counter to the conscious thought that you're having at that moment?

I agree. Sexual orientation is a relatively new concept, whereas prior to its unvention people just had sex, or didn't. But there was no particular breakdown for it. Though in ancient Rome for example though there was no conception of gay and straight, there were dominant and submissive roles. Interestingly, this is still seen in some cultures like in Brazil where a man is only gay if he is penetrated by other men, but if he's doing the penetrating, even with men, he may be regarded as perfectly straight as anyone else. Similar attitude in prisons.

Goes to show how much of what we assume is universally true or applicable is only true for us in the US. We're quite exceptional and maybe even unique relative to the rest of the world for how we regard sexuality. Everybody else seems to have gotten over it long ago, but not us.

Pedophilia is a sexual orientation. No one is batshit-insane enough to purposely train themselves to find prepubescent children to be sexually attractive.

Here's an interesting article on how the Left used to actively push for child sex to be normalized. We should expect this call to arms to be taken up again in the next half-century or so, after they work their magic on transsexualism they're going to need another perversion to normalize.

I'm not advocating pedophilia or anything else. What goes on in your mind is YOUR problem. I'm on-record as disagreeing with the new DSV-5 classification of pedophilia as a sexual orientation for reasons I've brought up in other threads. Namely, if law recognizes sexual orientations as being entitled to equal rights, do we then have to extend those rights (gay marriage and legalized homosexual behaviours et al.) to pedophiles too?
