Hillary screwed up so badly she's now in hiding. The balance of her book tour is canceled and she's not making any more speaking engagements. She'll wait until she thinks things have calmed down and send up a trial balloon. The reality is, it's over. She can try a comeback but by then even the democrats will have moved on. I hope they pick Elizabeth Warren. She's ideal to carry on the obama legacy.

People when they talk about the Republicans being divided because Tea Partyists and others want a "true conservative" don't notice that the Democrats have been hungry for a "true liberal" for awhile as well.

"True Liberals' were purged from the Party in the 1980's; that was the whole point of the 'Super Delegate Rule', to keep those out of the nominations for office. If the DNC wanted true Liberals they would run people like Nader. They're the 'new improved Democratic Party' now, all about identity politics and pandering to 'creative class' types; they're neo-liberals and politically correct Republicans these days.

They are tired of "pragmatists" who can win elections but end up changing little when in office.

They need pols like LBJ and Patrick Moynihan, people who could get legislation passed, not narcissists who 'fought the good fights' and never accomplished a damn thing, but loved to pat themselves on the back on how wonderful and noble they were and falling on their swords.

President Obama was their great hope, but his horrendously incompetent performance has left them with sour tastes in their mouths.

He's what the DNC wants these days; somebody who will support shipping jobs overseas and bailing out Wall Street with one hand while dissembling and screwing over everybody else outside the banking industry. They're 'Global Citizens' now, not American patriots. That translates into a big **** You to most Americans. Proles are of no consequence. The best thing real liberals can do is vote against the Democratic Party and do anything they can to get rid of it and crush it as it is today. As long as it exists there will be no balancing opposition Party.

Sounds like a good opinion. I think like that on election day, but then I usually vote dem anyway, hoping now and then that they'll do something for the average american. Something I don't have to worry about with republicans.
