As usual, there's a great deal of political uproar over the Paris climate talks. And as usual, all the uproar is occurring without much detail on which to base it.
I'd guess a lot of Americans are like me -- let's see what is actually in it, what it's going to cost, and what positive effects we are anticipating from it, before we decide whether we are for or against it. Crazy thought, huh? I know! We're nuts!
So if you are hoping for a new global agreement to come from these talks, I have two questions:
First, what would be a few of the major initiatives that you'd like to see come from this?
Second, for these initiatives, what new laws, regulations and restrictions would you like to see placed on private industry? What new rules would have to be put in place to match the initiatives you'd like to see?
The pushback against this is so loud that I don't know what the "other side" actually wants.
Thanks. Sure would be nice to keep this (relatively) civil.
