Whether the tale is 'credible' or not really isn't relevant to her touring, whatever that is. Obviously her name's in the news (from whatever source, for whatever reason) and that gives her draw power. It's very basic. Donald Rump has made an entire career out of doing the same thing, "licensing his name" and writing books and playing the part of an asshole on a TV "reality" show.
