Obama administration appointees crafted the story of an anti-Muslim video igniting the Benghazi terror attacks despite differing reports from the compound.
Democrats on the panel released a report Monday saying that while the State Department’s security measures in Benghazi, Libya, the night of Sept. 11, 2012 were “woefully inadequate”
Although Hillary never personally rejected the HUNDREDS of requests for additional security from Ambassador Stephens, the State Department was responsible for security at the compound and for Ambassador Stephens' security - Hillary was Secretary of State, head of the State department. SHE was/is ultimately responsible.
A senior watch officer at the State Department’s diplomatic security command called it “a full on attack against our compound” from the very start. When asked if he had seen or heard a 'protest' before the attack he replied, “zip, nothing, nada.” "None of the information coming directly from the agents on the ground in Benghazi during the attacks mentioned anything about a video or a protest.” “The firsthand accounts made their way to the office of the Secretary through multiple channels quickly …”
Despite there being NO EVIDENCE to support the insinuation that a video had played any part in the Benghazi terrorist attack, Clinton issued a statement noting “inflammatory material posted on the Internet” as a catalyst for the attack — even though she told Egypt’s prime minister the next day that “we know that the attacks in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack — not a protest.”
A Sept. 14, 2012 memo from Ben Rhodes - the president’s deputy national security adviser for strategic communications, who prepped then-United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice for her Sunday talk show appearances days after the attack - included the subject line: “RE: PREP Call with Susan: Saturday at 4:00 pm ET,” Fox News reported. The email noted goals ”to underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video and not a broader failure of policy” and “to reinforce the President and Administration’s strength and steadiness in dealing with difficult challenges,”
- CYA: Rhodes directed Rice to make sure she declared the terrorist attack - warned about for months and for which he and Hillary were completely un-prepared for...so much that they needlessly allowed 4 Americans to die...were NOT due to Obama's (& Hillary's) incompetence & foreign policy failures and that this disaster somehow proved he was 'strong and steady' in dealing with situations like these (...and not to mention he went AWOL and crafted up a lie while Americans were dying).
Rhodes was the same official who approved Clinton’s statement the night of the attack linking the video to Benghazi...
• Despite President Obama and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s 'clear orders to deploy military assets', nothing was sent to Benghazi, and nothing was en route to Libya at the time the last two Americans were killed almost 8 hours after the attacks began. [pg. 141]
• With Ambassador Stevens missing, the White House convened a roughly two-hour meeting at 7:30 PM, which resulted in action items focused on a YouTube video, and others containing the phrases “f any deployment is made,” and “Libya must agree to any deployment,” and “[w]ill not deploy until order comes to go to either Tripoli or Benghazi.” [pg. 115]
- American lives are in danger and you are asking the new government, for the most part, that is controlled by the same people conducting the attack for permission to rescue our people? So Obama did not ask Pakistan for permission to go in and get UBL, but he wants permission to go in and get our own people being killed? WTF?
• A Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) sat on a plane in Rota, Spain, for three hours, and changed in and out of their uniforms four times. [pg. 154]
-- Because Liberals considered sending US Military into combat in civilian clothes so we would not offend anyone when we showed up to rescue Americans being attacked by terrorists..... AGAIN, WTF?!
