Rhetorically speaking, of course, as you pretty predictably find right here what did.

Reading the piece first linked to here, it oddly repeats one portion of itself, but I've linked other sources at the bottom, too.

--You have to love the familiar tune of the UN investigating itself.

"The UN said today that it would launch an investigation after the Daily Telegraph reported allegations that UN personnel have abused children in southern Sudan.

"Members of the United Nations peacekeeping forces in southern Sudan are facing allegations of raping and abusing children as young as 12, The Daily Telegraph reported today.

"The abuse allegedly began two years ago when the UN mission in southern Sudan (UNMIS) moved in to help rebuild the region after a 23-year civil war. The UN has up to 10,000 military personnel in the region, of all nationalities and the allegations involve peacekeepers, military police and civilian staff..."

great bunch of folks

What became of hussein producing an actual birth certificate proving he can legally assume the Presidency?

You're welcome RodISHI-yeah, nice, eh, Dillo?

I hope you guys look at the other post I just left here and in Law and Justice, there's another classic.

The UN has no doubt swept that under the rug like it has done with every other scandal it's been involved in.

Of course... Again friends, the UN is an organ of the ideological left. The ideological left is the personification of evil... thus where evil is discovered being evil, there is little about which to be suprised and there is even less on which an investigation can be founded; the UN was doing in the Sudan what is expected that they would be doing; acting like cowards who have never been exposed to and thus are unable to recognize valid moral principle.

The simple fact is that given the same circumstances, there is not a single leftist on this board that would not engage in the exact same behavior... there is not a scintilla of difference between those who raped the children in the Sudan and the most verbosely indignant leftist spouting off on this board... they're simply not in a position to commit those acts under a measure of perceived impunity.

Child abuse and sex abuse are so far off the lib radar that they don't even register.

The crimes committed by UN personnel are considered "normal" by most.

Of course, if it was US soldiers doing it, it'd be on the front page of every newspaper in the world from now until Judgement Day.
