It's fortunate the Mueller investigation is still in its early stages. It took several years for special counsel Ken Starr to fail to find any evidence of wrongdoing by the Clintons in the Whitewater investigation. However, Starr continued to dig into the personal life of President Clinton which led to his impeachment for lying to congress when he denied having a sexual encounter, with a woman who was not his wife. Conservatives were shocked, appalled, twitterpated, screaming, and shouting.

But for the idiot trump, his proclivity as a sexual predator is entirely acceptable to conservatives. (There's that double conservative standard so typical of the Christian right extremists.)

However, the Mueller investigation is looking into crimes much worse than the sexual misadventures between the idiot trump and women with terrible taste in men. Eventually, all the dominoes will fall and the truth of the idiot trump's total involvement in the rigging of the 2016 election will be exposed.

But, Mueller's success doesn't mean the nation is out of the woods.

Sadly, if the Democrats do NOT retake the majority in both the House and the Senate in the coming mid-term elections, the idiot trump and most of his corrupt swamp rats will not be held accountable for their treasonous acts. The congressional Republicans would disregard the volumes of evidence against the idiot trump presented by Mueller, as they are every bit as corrupt as the current administration.

Even if the Democrats do succeed in becoming the congressional majority, Nancy Pelosi will again be House Speaker, and she is famous for her failure to hold Republican administrations accountable.

So, regardless of the outcome of the 2018 elections, there is a good chance the U.S. is stuck with the idiot trump through 2020. And with the Russians free to "adjust" election results to suit Putin, the idiot trump could be with us through 2024.

By then, the U.S. will have broken apart into any number of second and third world countries.

An exception would be if Washington, Oregon, and California united. With California already the fifth largest economy in the world, the addition of Washington and Oregon would solidify those three states' continuing success. (All three are blue states.)
