The president of Jet Blue and the CEO of United Airlines have both stated that failures in air traffic control infrastructure are responsible for the decline in airline efficiency.

Buttigieg pushed back on airline executives placing the blame on the FAA, saying that "less than 10% of the delay minutes in the system" are caused by air traffic controlling shortages.

"We're hiring 1,500 new air traffic controllers this year. Our plan is to hire another 1,800 traffic controllers next year," Buttigieg said. "We're also working on staffing models that can better address the needs on the ground, and cooperating where possible and where appropriate with airlines on things that can make better use of the same national airspace."

Interesting, he's not responsible but "we're hiring 1.500 new controllers"...perhaps WE should have seen this mess coming before a heavy travel week.

Buttigieg passes buck on responsibility after airlines blame FAA for flight delays

Two friends that live in Florida wanted to come and visit me and see my home for the first time... we were going to play golf and catch up on old times and go over to the 4th of july event in town... they were stuck at the airport in Orlando for 9 hours before they were told they couldn't fly out... so they went home and waited for a call from the airline ticket manager.... it never came so they cancelled their plans...
Buttplug is a loser and he is not up to the job....
But as we all know neither is anyone else in the Biden administration...

Biggest problem with him passing the buck, is that its OUR buck.

We're hiring 1,500 new air traffic controllers this year.
So BootyJuice claims that the FAA understaffing did not cause the delays but he admits he's behind 1500 air traffic controllers. Typical Libtard doublespeak. Another incompetent Biden department head that should be fired along with Myorkas, Wray and, Garland.

President Trump had an intelligent Oriental chick on this job, and it worked out tremendous.

Of course, she was chosen for her competence. Buttigieg was chosen merely because he likes to get his butt hole violated.

Doing his job might get in the way of his nursing responsibilities. SMFH

You mean, they are passing the buck?

Well, it's not like he personally is doing the hiring.

Good leaders say "we" constantly. But I guess that's not something you'll be familiar with.

Buttplug sure managed to shed the "we" when it came to accepting any responsibility.
