The ghost of Sam Irvin is probably still laughing at GOP House leaders for being such impotent little weenies, but West Virginia is showing them how you reign in wack-job judges.

West Virginia House Votes to Impeach Loughry & Davis

The West Virginia House of Delegates has impeached all four of the state's Supreme Court justices.

The Republican-led House on Monday night impeached Justice Beth Walker and the other justices for abusing their authority. The article says they failed to control office expenses and not maintaining policies over important matters such as working lunches, the use of state vehicles and office computers at home.

Walker was the last of the four justices to be impeached. She had avoided impeachment earlier when the House voted not to pass an article against her for $131,000 in renovations she made after taking office last year.

Those are minor offenses too, compared to a judge or Justice doing a public interview just prior to a Hearing saying how they would cast in advance of hearing the facts.

Just remember, submitting a bill of impeachment is only the first part of the process. They still have to go to trial. I'm unable to find the actual process but it appears the Governor will hold a hearing in which evidence is produced to back the charges. Just guess, but it seems the government may then actually remove the offenders from office.

There is a Court of Appeals also involved.

This sure won't be done overnight.
