Hi. I have gray eyes and I hate them. I always adored blue eyes. Since my eyes are very dry I am not comfortable wearing blue contact lens. First I thought that issue was with the contact lens and I kept changing the brands but my efforts were in vain. I feel as if some foreign body inside my eyes when I use them. I tried using tear drops but they are not effective. A friend of mine had this problem and she had undergone a dry eye treatment from an eye clinic in Toronto. She says the treatment was very effective but she is not using any contact lens. My question is will I be able to wear lens if I undergo this procedure? Any previous experiences?

If you're gonna wear contact lenses, the best thing to do is get them properly fitted by a licensed optician.

Why? There have been stories about people using colored or patterned contact lenses for Halloween, and it's been proven that some of the lenses you don't have to get a prescription for have caused eye infections due to being packaged in unclean solutions.

And.................if you go to an optician for your lenses, they may be able to recommend some kind of eye drops or give you the straight skinny on the surgery.

Go to a real optician, don't take advice about things like this from a messageboard.

Especially not with your eyes.

I suffer from dry eyes, runs in the family. A relative says the tear duct surgery helped a lot. I just use eye drops all the time.

My Dad had blue eyes and my Mom had green eyes and I have brown eyes. Waz up with that?
Hazel eyes are green eyes and I think you would look best with that.

However, Elizabeth Taylor had violet eyes which are beautiful to behold.

Can’t Even

Let's see. You have dry eyes. Contact lenses are uncomfortable. You want to wear contact lenses so you'll have pretty blue eyes. You would even undergo a procedure on your tear ducts just so you can have blue eyes.

My advice is to spend less time staring into a mirror, looking into your own eyes. Focus on the beauty outside of yourself.

Forget the surgery. Get contact lenses and just carry good eye drops with you and use them every day. Simple, less risk, and a lot cheaper.

I speak from experience. I wore contact lenses for decades..started with the original HARD lenses, to RGPs, then had Lasik surgery...and at one time, insured dozens of contact lens manufacturers.

What? Nabowle, you hate your gray eyes? Then get the news, that gray eyes are ever more rare to find than blue eyes, gray eyes are even more beautiful. Plus gray eyes go well with more different hats and make ups than blue eyes. Get a new boyfriend.

This is all true. But mostly I'd like to know how someone can "hate" the colour of their eyes? She must have a lot of hate inside of her, in which case she will never be satisfied no matter what colour they are. Silly-cone tits, botox lips, face-lifts, nose job, tattoos, piercing ......... she's probably tried all of it already.

Hey.............I used to wear contacts when I was younger and when they came out with colored contact lenses, I tried them just for a lark to see if I liked them. Matter of fact, tried out 2 different colors, and after a week or so with each, decided that I like my own eye color best.

However................for Halloween it was different...............I had 3 different sets of prescription novelty lenses that I would wear to freak people out. One of them was flames where the color should be, one was white where the color should be, and the other one was black with a thin white line spiraling to the center.

On Halloween, I would wear vampire fangs that fit over my real teeth (you could even eat with them), and the white contact lenses. Whenever I took off my sunglasses and smiled at people they would freak out HARD.

Had a lot of fun with those lenses...............

I wonder whose sock she is.

It's a bed idea at all. Much better to visit n optometrist and he will help you to select contacts good with your eyes or will give you some advice on how to wear them properly in your case. Just find a good doc.

If you want to save money don't buy from office -it's very expensive. Get prescription and buy online - it's more than 50% cheaper. Use contactsprice.com or something similar to compare prices on contacts from all stores cos prices are very different even online.

Grey eyes are beautiful!

The one in the middle?

I wore the lenses for three years. I thought it was uncomfortable. I did my eye surgery here Laser Eye Surgery Melbourne | Eye Specialist | Ophthalmologist - Ben Connell just a year ago and I’m very happy with how it turned out. My vision is near perfect now. The rehabilitation period was over before I knew it and the surgery itself was absolutely painless. I totally forgot about eyeglasses and contacts. Shortly speaking, I loved the results.
I wonder how laser eye surgery feels like. Is it like poking it like the machine that checks its solidity(?) at the optician?
