Waterboarding, Are you liberals that hypocritical and just downright DUMB?

Not a very good defense on your part

Can you ever imagine in your lifetime that you would see candidates for president lining up to say they support America engaging in torture?

Have our values fallen that much?
America doesn't engage in torture.. Keep telling yourself differently and keep blaming America first.

We don't since President Obama banned it

What about unsanctioned Murder?

You don't even know what "reactionary" means....

It's certainly a delight to watch you burn in your own ignorance...

You are every bit as ignorant as teaparty. You reactionaries hurt our chances for the Republicans to win next year. The victory will come from the center and right of center, not from the far far reactionary weirdo right.

You need to wake up to the fact that the Tea Party is not all Far Right Jake, that and that we are tired of the statuesque from both Parties. The Primaries are the Time to voice frustration and work out the kinks. You obstruct that and it is you and your kind that cause the split. Seek Justice, not Progressive Statism Jake or you will lose it all in the end.
When there is little or no distinction between Right and Left, Right and Wrong, there is a problem. You need to root in Principle, not deception to make a difference. Your attacks do little more than to aid the opposition. What opposition? That which would trash Individual Liberty, and Inalienable Rights for the sake of the machine, the beast.

The Tea Party is more right wing then the Birchers..and engage in very much the same tactics. They accused Kennedy of being a commie and a Catholic Manchurian Candidate.

Very much the same thing the Tea Party did with Obama when they accused him of being a Muslim born in Kenya.

So you advocate violence against me??

I thought you progressive "liberals" were all peaceful and lovy-dubby...

I think not...

You're more than welcome to come over any time you want buddy - I'm a boxer and boxed for a decade I could TKO you in 3 punches...

Lets see..you have an IQ of 160..you can knock someone out in three punches..and you play hockey.

Well you've threatened to waterboard me, pal. My picture is up in my profile and I live in Greenpoint. I am generally walking my dog around 9:30-10:00 am in McCarren park.

You are still welcome to try.

I can probably knock out a grown adult male with 3-punches, I play hockey in a senor/beer league where we don't hit, besides I generally play goal..

I don't believe an IQ means much - just because a person or individual has the talent to lean or cram their brain doesn't necessarily mean they will find truth...... They may find THEIR truth but not the truth...

Video games are fun, Nick. The Boxing ones are especially fun.

But when you start talking about "knocking out a dude in 3 punches"..I find it hard to believe you've ever been in a street fight.

And quite honestly you don't strike me as a "super-intellegent" person. Average is about as far as I will go..but I also think that is a stretch.

Most really intelligent people I know, abhor violence.

why do the far right knuckleheads always resort in the end to talks of violence.

Stupid.

Drones are our most effective tool in the war on terror...what is your point?

You truly don't get it, do you? You see no problem with drones being sent to Countries we are not even at war with Targeting Non Combatants and those around them, in the wrong place at the wrong time, without Oversight, without Congress or the Courts signing off on these assignations? The President can Target Anyone in the World for Assignation, without Due Process, and you are okay with that? Nothing strikes you here, with regards to abuse of power? Should China or the Soviet Union, or North Korea choose to follow this precedent, are you okay with that too? This is taking Progressive Statist Totalitarianism to the next level, and that just fits right in with your grand plan?

Fuck the Constitution, the end justifies the means? Is that the game plan?

In a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, the American Civil Liberties Union asked the government to disclose the legal basis for its use of predator drones to conduct "targeted killings" overseas. In particular, the ACLU seeks to find out when, where and against whom drone strikes can be authorized, and how the United States ensures compliance with international laws relating to extrajudicial killings.

The FOIA request was filed with the Department of Defense, the Department of Justice (including the Office of Legal Counsel), the Department of State and the CIA.

NEW YORK – Targeted killings, including the use of drones, are increasingly used in ways that violate international law, according to a report out today by a U.N. expert on extrajudicial killings. The American Civil Liberties Union said the report underscores the alarming legal questions raised by the U.S. program of targeting and killing people – including U.S. citizens – sometimes far from any battlefield.

According to the report by U.N. special rapporteur Philip Alston, which will be presented to the U.N. Human Rights Council Thursday, while targeted killings may be permitted in armed conflict situations when used against combatants, fighters or civilians who directly engage in combat-like activities, they are increasingly being used far from any battlefield. The report states that "this strongly asserted but ill-defined license to kill without accountability is not an entitlement which the United States or other States can have without doing grave damage to the rules designed to protect the right to life and prevent extrajudicial killings."

Alston also criticized the U.S. invocation of the "law of 9/11," which it uses to justify the use of force outside of armed-conflict zones as part of the so-called global war on terrorism. The report called for the United States and other countries to end the "accountability vacuum" by disclosing the full legal basis for targeted killings and specifically the measures in place to ensure wrongful killings are investigated, prosecuted and punished.

What irks nutters is that they are wrong.

Using drones is an effective tool in fighting terrorism while torturing captives is not.

They are backing a loser. Rather than admit that they are wrong and have to face being humble and apologetic, their greatest fear in life, they fake outrage.

Nutter bumper stickers of the day:

"Drone strikes kill......waterboarding only inconveniences!"

"Better wet than dead!"

"Liberals are limp-wristed, immoral, violent pacifists who wear pink panties and pocket protectors as they murder innocent terrorists. They will surrender our nation without a fight after all the All Quaeda leaders they have killed come back from the dead"!

The Constitution gives the Commander in Chief the right to engage in war. In fighting terrorist you have to go where the terrorists are hiding. The only complaint can come from sovereign territories being hit by the US. Let them take it up with the UN. There is no Constitutional issue

You are Talking Puppets.

In the old days we would gather intelligence and call in a couple of bombers. Now, we have drones flying silently. When the intelligence is there we hit them with a high precision Hellfire

No constitutional issues....just a President doing his job

The trove of information gathered from KSM proves you are full of shit.

You applaud Obama "getting Bin Ladin" out of one side of your mouths and condemn waterboarding out of the other side of your mouths?

How stupid is that? How do you think Obama GOT Osama? Bin Ladin just gave himself up? NO! We got the intel FROM WATERBOARDING!!!!
Bullshit.
