    The article is just making observations based on sematic definitions. You can pre-define liberal a certain way and Bush becomes a liberal and conservative a certain way and Obama is a conservative. It's irrelevant to common and popular useage of the terms today.

    The primary tenants of the Bush administration were slashing taxes and increasing military spending with aggressive use of force. Those weren't liberal tenants and they were not supported by liberals but by conservatives.

    Don't believe me? Take a poll of how many folks here who call themselves a conservative would support repealing the Bush tax cuts and the Bush military build up. Pretty few I'd wager.
