Does anybody consider the 2023 election LEGITIMATE, with Brandon Johnson declared the winner ?

The typical claim of Democrats of voter suppression of certain identity groups, is showing up as more than a claim, except now it's against Republican voters. Reports are coming in of scores of elderly people (overwhelmingly Republican), who did not receive mail-in ballots, couldn't get to the polls, and never voted.

It's very early, but I suspect more reports will filter in about how this thing was rigged in favor of Johnson and against Vallas. Chicago has been having questionable elections at least since 2016.

Actually, Chicago has been having questionable elections for a hundred years.

But in this case it was liberal vs liberal. Chicago was going to get an extremist regardless.

No Republican or conservative was even allowed on the ballot.

There is no reason to think that either Mr. Vallas or Mr. Johnson didn't know what was going on here.

IMHO, Johnson won because there were more black voters that white, and since the two didn't vary a millimeter in their liberalism, that was the only issue.

Blah, the dems can worry about that one but considering their body of work in that lawless shit-hole they got exactly what they wanted.....At least heyjackass will keep entertaining. ;)

^^^This. There has never been a 'legit' election in Chicago, except for one allegedly ordered by Al Capone of all people in the mid-late 1920's, when he was asked to keep it clean once.

Big Bill Thompson was a Republican, won the Mayor's office twice, actually.

William Hale Thompson (May 14, 1869 – March 19, 1944) was an American politician who served as mayor of Chicago from 1915 to 1923 and again from 1927 to 1931. Known as "Big Bill",[3] he is the most recent Republican to have served as mayor of Chicago. Historians rank him among the most unethical mayors in American history, mainly for his open alliance with Al Capone. However, others recognize the effectiveness of his political methods and publicity-oriented campaigning, acknowledging him as a "Political Chameleon" and an effective political machine.

Thompson was known for his over-the-top campaigning and uncensored language that, along with his towering height and weight, earned him the nickname "Big Bill".[4] Upon his reelection in 1919, Thompson had the school board suspend the Superintendent of Chicago Public Schools, William McAndrew. He was also at the forefront of the movement for the Chicago Public Library system and education officials to censor and ban many texts and historical recollections coming from the United Kingdom.[5]

Though Thompson was a popular figure, his popularity collapsed after his death, when two safe-deposit boxes were found in his name containing over $1.8 million. As of 2023, he is the most recent Republican to have served as Mayor of Chicago.

I don't think this country has ever had a fair election.
