The UK's Met Office (which no longer is allowed to provide the BBC with weather predictions because they have been so far off) really outdid themselves this week! First they said the temps were increasing more rapidly than was originally believed...

This is from the UK Gaurdian November 26 2010...

World is warming quicker than thought in past decade, says Met Office | Environment | The Guardian

Then..I still find this amusing..

On the VERY SAME DAY in a report on the BBC they say the rate has slowed:clap2::lol:

BBC News - Met Office says 2010 'among hottest on record'

So there you have it, the Met says it's the hottest year on record (well, maybe the second)
and the rate of change both increased and slowed at the same time!

Orwell would be proud of them.

Climate sceptics say that until now, warming has plateaued over the last decade. The Met Office agrees that the rate of warming has slowed - but it maintains that is due to natural variability, not because man-made warming has stopped.

They think factors in the slower warming may have been - a natural downturn in solar radiation; a small reduction in water vapour in the stratosphere; a possible increase in aerosol emissions from Asia; and the fact that strong warming in the Arctic is poorly represented in the way data is collected.

Dr Pope says the slowdown in temperature rise is consistent with projections from climate models. She also says she expects warming to increase in the next few years.

The rate of warming decreased, a pattern that we have seen before, because the natural cycles overlay the rate of warming due to the GHGs. However, we still have warming occurring, and can be reasonably sure that the rate will increase as the natural cycles go the other way. One has only to look at Dr. Spencer's graph to see this.

BBC News - Met Office says 2010 'among hottest on record'

"The long-term warming trend is 0.16C," she says. "In the last 10 years the rate decreased to between 0.05 and 0.13.

"There are a number of things that are affecting short-term temperatures. A lot of the heat could be distributed to the deep oceans and we don't know what's going on there

Yes, the Met Office says that the warming is both slowing and increasing on the same day.
How nice that they are still so completely clueless. If they keep this silliness up they will render themselves completely irrelevant and be cashiered for the poor "scientists" they are.

That takes real incompetence to be that bad. Amazing. And yet people like you actually pay attention to what they say. Really amazing.

It takes real chutzpah to state lies that anyone can check. But people like you are known for that.

Ahhh olfraud, did I mak you angry again? It's so easy these days. Allways with the "lies", yet you're the one saying those.....you old fraud you!:lol::lol:
