I mean this list is a joke.

I do not "want" anyone as I have voted for one Dem in my life and it will never happen again.

Most on that list are either East or West coast people and the Democrats are viewed by many as a coastal party that does not connect with middle America seems like they would want to try and find someone to break that perception.
and where would they look?

Illinois is the only place to look and it didn't turn out that well for the country last time
That is the question for them but you won't find anyone if you don't look they could have started by electing Ohio Rep Tim Ryan as House minority leader but instead they put Nancy Pelosi in that position.

an openly vile and divisive character

That was supposed to be Al Franken...
:oops-28:
So much for that.

The DNC needs to find a black Muslim and a queer. That’s pretty much all they represent at this point.

Jerry Brown is too old- as is Biden and Sanders. Kamala Harris is too inexperienced

Cuomo and McAuliffe are the only ones there that I like- though I love the concept of the Rock running and certainly Oprah has had as much success as Trump has in business- do Democrats really want to imitate the Republicans by running an entertainer?
