Wall Builders and other Dominionist Groups

I have no problem with there being people of faith in the military. I have a problem with the federal government funding ethics courses using Bible passages. It's a clear violation of the separation of church and state.

Too bad you can't tell the difference.
No, it is not. I suggest you look at the actual presentation given to the launch operators. The ethics taught quote zero - that is none, zip, nada - bible verses.

The article is wrong, yet you believed it without checking.

The chaplain THEN went on to discuss to the FAITHFUL how their participation in missile launches will not conflict with their faith. That is a chaplain's job - to advise those who have questions about their faith while in the military.

Pretty well reasoned. :)
The typical personal attack did not go unnoticed, though, just not worthy of much attention here. ;)

And, yes; I found the presentation very well reasoned.

Where religion and politics work hand in glove.

"To assist in the formation of sound public policy, we have established the WallBuilders' ProFamily Legislative Network. This arm of WallBuilders monitors and collects pro-family legislation from the various states in over a dozen different areas (e.g., marriage, abortion, education, public morality, gambling, parental rights) which we then make available to legislators and activists in other states at their request, thus enabling pro-family legislation to be introduced in states across America. We also support efforts by groups such as The National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) and Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation that seek to provide principled Christian leadership in diverse policy areas, including a comprehensive call to civic responsibility and a call to truth on environmental stewardship.

WallBuilders is also a national leader in efforts to return local control to citizens through restraining renegade federal judges who too often impose their own arbitrary values on communities. David Barton has not only authored several works on this issue, he also addresses legal groups and has been sought out by federal and state legislators in their attempts to curb activist judges.

Combining both the educational and the public policy information, WallBuilders offers public presentations on a variety of topics ranging from our Godly heritage to what can be done to restore Biblical principles in our nation."

WallBuilders - Overview

This group is pulling a lot of strings in the current election. I thought they should come out in the daylight and be questioned by some of us.

Putting your delusions in the CDZ does not make them valid. This belongs in conspiracy theories. not here, because you are incapable of a rational response to anyone in this area.

In Skys defense wacko groups on the left are brought up as evidence of liberals being mean or such. the guy who harassed the server for one.
The ones who back the right should also be examined.

In my defense, Christian Dominionism is not a massive conspiracy to take over the entire planet. If Sky wants to point out there historical errors Wallbuilders bases its teachings on I will be right there with her, if she wants to pretend that they are out to control the world in concert with a bunch of other groups that have noting in common other than being Christian I will mock her every step of the way.

The Air Force has suspended a training course for nuclear missile launch officers that used Bible passages and religious imagery to teach them about the ethics of war.

The course had apparently been taught by chaplains at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California for more than 20 years, but officials pulled the plug after an article from the liberal Web site Truthout.org appeared online last week.

The group obtained a PowerPoint presentation used in the course that referenced religious figures including Abraham, John the Baptist and Saint Augustine. The presentation also said that there are “many examples of believers engaged in wars in the Old Testament” and “no pacifistic sentiment in mainstream Jewish history.”

Dominionists goal is to make Christianity the state religion of the United States.

I remember when The Air Force Academy was embroiled in that fiasco not too long ago. Following jesus was not mandatory BUT those who didn't were harassed. This is horrendous in a federal facility. Shameful.

Yes, it is, but to blame that on Wallbuilders is even more shameful.

Already in the daylight but the media is pretty much afraid to bring their actions to the forefront.

The media, which just demonized the owner of Chick-fil-A for expressing his belief in traditional marriage, is afraid to go against Wallbuilders, an organization that has repeatedly, and openly, defended traditional marriage?

Why don't I believe that?
