For some of us, this is a long weekend due to the Veteran's Day holiday on Monday November 11th. This is a time for all of us to thank all military personnel, past and present who have fought in various wars. This is especially true for those who have paid the ultimate price so we may continue to enjoy our freedoms and quality of life. Many towns will be hosting parades to commemorate this special day.
I know that most of us know some war Veterans (friends, family, colleagues or neighbors) whether it's from the Vietnam war, Iraq or Afghanistan, we should take this opportunity and get together with these folks on Monday to thank them for all they've done. For those of us who plan to invite war Veterans to a family dinner on Monday, the Buccaneers will be hosting the Dolphins (8:30PM Eastern Time on ESPN). This will be a great opportunity to enjoy the game while having a few beers after dinner. Personally I prefer dinner/football over the parade, but that's just me.
Anyways, we should always acknowledge our Veterans and thank them for their service, not just on Veteran's Day. I know they will greatly appreciate the gesture.
