I would add a "thread ban" option where you could ban certain posters from threads you make. Lets face it, some just troll.

I would put the religion forum under the Lounge Forum and enforce the rules strictly. Those who have or believe in a higher power should be able to congregate without naysayers derailing or insulting them.

In the FZ, I would have one staff member in charge of it due to new rules. Those rules would be the same as the rest of the board but not as strictly enforced. New rule would be ONE, which is: No ragging on/dissing/insulting people NOT in the thread it being done in. They have to participate in order to be free game. If they are not anywhere near that thread, bringing them up gets you a warning. Two warnings is enough for a temp hiatus until you learn the new rule.

I would have a LGBT forum STRICTLY enforced, so those who are LGBT can chat with each other without being spit on or ridiculed by trolls.

I would add blogs for those who wish to have one.

I would add a games section for those who are not in the mood to talk and instead just want to play games for a day.

I would pay my staff. Might not be a lot since it is a big board, but they would get some compensation.

Obvious trolls only here to cause strife on the WHOLE BOARD would be permabanned. Having disagreeing opinions is one thing. Constant derails and no other form of participation in convos by trolls is another (prime example...dottie). Gone. Permanently.

I would also have a list of who was banned and why. No guessing, no trolling, no slapping it out there to see if it sticks shit. Name, reason, end of story.

That's a great idea. Any kind of "closed thread" or even a "closed forum" would be interesting - but it would need to be invisible to those not included

I would arrange the forums from most popular, on down, instead of how its arranged now. Id offer a more gothic color scheme. Id data mine dark fury. Id ban myself.

1- Make the frames for the avatars larger, as to see the avatars better.

2- Wikileaks is dead. Old news and never deserved its own discussion. Erase it .

3- Global discussion needs trimmed.
Start over with = * Asia * then after opening that up have south east and south west forums . * Europe * - east and west sub forums . * Australia. *. * Africa * . Central / South America. North America : US and Canada separate sub forums. General discussion could cover Indochina - Greenland and other places for those whom think it is important.

4- Podcast pit in the Community section us dead . No one is using it . It is taking up bandwidth , erase it.

5- Hobbies area , XBox - Playstation forum is slow . The admin can keep it, but it too is slow . I would erase it.

6- Obama care should be a subforum for Govt healthcare and insurance.

7 - Create two separate forums - One for the Democratic Party and one for the Republican Party; to discuss pro and con party topics, as well as the discussion of party members.

8- The Structured Discussion Forum and Clean Debate Forum could be merged .

9 - The Tea Party , Green Party , Purple party and all the other .... " I'll create a party " should go under Politics in the US discussion forums. Tea Party does not deserve its own standout forum . If so - then all the other 200 Party's deserve one. Along with a Neo-Con and Evangelical Christian forum .

10- nonessential political discussions and anything that does not have a forum or subforum , can go in the " USMB lounge .

Streamline the forums- create subforums. Get rid of nonessential and bandwidth steeling junk.
