    The Pentagon is readying for the possibility of intervention in Syria, aiming to halt Syrian President Bashsar Assad's violent crackdown on protesters, the newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat reported Saturday, citing a US military offical.

    Yes, and the Secretary of State seems to be saying we will do as little as possible. As I have written, there is no way Obama can win in this situation.

    Someone has to tell their "story".

    Russia supports Assad. Russia has a major military base in Syria. obama will do nothing unless he loses the election. If he loses, the scorched eath war he will wage against America might well induce him to directly attack a Russian client state.
