Upset with the Tea Party

I have been attending Tea Party meetings for awhile. I am getting disgusted. In my area it is getting to be a bunch of nutjobs. Never say much about the constitution, taxes, and small government anymore. Nothing about the type of candidates we need. Now its internet rumors, birthers, religious right, and gun nuts. They are told that when they repeat those things we lose all credibility, but it doesn't help. They insist on being what liberals stereotype Tea Party members as. I think it may be time for wholesale changes and to get back on message.

Obama was not born in Kenya. There are too many true statements to make about how he is ruining the country, we don't have to make things up.

The earth is millions of years old. (at least the Catholic Church has a footnote about evolution in the Creation Story in Genesis) Science matters!

No one wants to take away your guns. No reason to hoard ammunition. Any futher gun controls laws will be along the lines of the assault weapons ban that we survived before.

Lets get back to trying to fix this country! My rant is now over.

What you said is pretty much the nail on the head. We got enough problems to be dealing with, we don't need to be adding all these distractions. There are real issues regarding Obama Administration policies, but this birther shit and socialist crap, are not one of them.

I voted for Roney, yes, and my vote was not a waste. I voted for the man I saw best fit to lead this country, who was the only viable option.
