246,000 New Jobs Drop Rate to 7.7%

"I think some of the growth surprises you're seeing (in the U.S.) are ... underlying improvement in the domestic economy,"

...Nick Nelson, global head of equity strategy at UBS, told CNBC Europe. He expects U.S. consumer confidence to improve over the course of the year as the housing-market recovery creates a wealth effect.

Finally! Economic Recovery Is Starting to Pick Up Steam

<<< 9 out of 10 the leading economic indicators are trending up, with one flat. Some of the indicators have been trending upward for a while. >>>

Yes indeed, Republicans can't handle good news.

And there is plenty of it.

And I hope to bring it to them every day!

***Jobless Claims in U.S. Unexpectedly Fall to a Six-Week Low***

The number of Americans who filed for unemployment benefits declined to a six-week low, showing further improvement in the labor market.

First-time jobless claims unexpectedly fell by 7,000 to 340,000 in the week ended March 2, the lowest since the period ended Jan. 19, according to data today from the Labor Department in Washington. The median forecast of 50 economists surveyed by Bloomberg called for an increase to 355,000. The four-week average dropped to a five-year low.

Unemployment is getting better.
Housing market is getting better.
2 unpopular wars are ending.
Wall Street hits ALL TIME high.

Hmmm.......this is really really BAD news for Republicans!

DOW move up again to 14,322 on news that Jobless Claims fell again.

Obama has now dropped Bush's 650,000 jobless claims to 344,000.

A major miracle in the face of Republican obstruction.

According to BLS, there are 3.4 million job openings in the U.S.

It's the unskilled workers that are hurting most, and Republicans continue to cut aide to Education.

Just because people milked unemployment for two years, and their benefits ran out does not arbitrarily mean they are back to work.

It's the unskilled workers that are hurting most, and Republicans continue to cut aide to Education.

And the Ds want to raise the minimum wage, which will only result in more unemployment for the low wage worker...who the Ds profess to be helping. But then most Ds are opportunists who can easily dupe their ignorant voters.

If anyone thinks our economy is doing well, they really are completely ignorant.

At some point, so many people are unemployed that the amount losing jobs will naturally decrease. At 14% U6 unemployment (for ages)...we're likely at that point, until the currency collapses.

Do you have a link to those cuts? Or are you just making stuff up? You mean the unskilled workers who chose to drop out of High school? I fail to grasp how a teenager is going to learn a skill by not showing up to school. But by all means, feel free to childishly blame Republicans.

Good.

Despite overwhelming odds and the deliberate policies to hold it down, the American economy is beginning to exert itself.

Shame on the President for holding America's prosperity hostage for the past four years.

Progressives love it when the Government dumps money on the rich. Too bad everyone else, middle class and poor are living in harder and harder times.

This post only has happened every month of Obama's first term. Embarrassing for the poster.
