UNSC Resolution

The UN ( 1/3 of which are hostile Arab countries ) wouldn't recognize anything Israel did anyway.

There are 22 Arab countries and 193 members of the UN. How does that work out to 1/3? I guess just like the rest of your assertions.

Arab Muslim countries., my mistake. ;--) Yes there are only about 22 Arab countries but there are more like 60 Muslim countries and we all know how they feel about the Judaic people maintaining a native homeland.

So yeah, about 1/3

But again its miles off topic as the UN has zero right to dictate how a country defends itself.

So again your hasbara nonsense just doesn't wash ;--)

Quote

  • Art 118. Prisoners of war shall be released and repatriated without delay after the cessation of active hostilities.
  • In the absence of stipulations to the above effect in any agreement concluded between the Parties to the conflict with a view to the cessation of hostilities, or failing any such agreement, each of the Detaining Powers shall itself establish and execute without delay a plan of repatriation in conformity with the principle laid down in the foregoing paragraph.

Some countries, like France for example, are pushing hard for a two state solution to save Israel from itself as the one state solution looms large on the horizon.

Tell it to the Palestinians as they are the ones who have repeatedly refused to talk peace.
The two state solution is not the Palestinian's thing. It has been a foreign idea since 1937. Why should they negotiate inside that framework?

The Palestinians working within a two state solution is the best outcome that can happen for both Palestine and Israel...

The sooner BOTH parties recognise this the sooner there will be peace in the region!

Nonsense, there's already two states. Jordan and Israel. Three if you consider that Gaza, will eventually also be its own state.

I don't think this lie about an additional state as a second state is flying with anyone.

The only reason you people are pushing for another state, smack in the middle of Israel, is to weaken the state of Israel and further your overall plan to destroy everything Israeli.

The UN has no business telling Israel how to defense itself. So yeah, its the Geneva Conventions that dictate how a war is to be conducted. But the UN is helpless to weaken Israel.

Jordan was established as a state for Bedouin Arabians and their Hashemite rulers. What does that to do with Christian and Muslim Palestinians? They, the Jordanians, generously accepted Palestinian refugees that were expelled from their native land by Europeans, but the Palestinians are not natives of Jordan. They are the natives of Palestine.

More hasbara nonsense, Jordan was established as the Arab Muslim state of the two state solution.

You are desperate to avoid the topic.

It is disturbing to hear that president Obama is seriously thinking of supporting a UNSC resolution to create, delineate, and set a time frame for a two state solution to the Israeli-Arab-Palestine imbroglio by-passing direct negotiations. Unless another UNSC member vetoes the resolution it will put Israel in dire straits with sanctions looming in the future. It doesn't take much forethought to realize the resolution will mandate the 1967 green line as the defacto border meaning that all settlements will be in Palestinian territory. It is further stated that Obama will not move on this until after the election so as not to impact the Democrat candidate's chances. It is ironic that an American president with the middle name of Hussein would be the one to lead an effort to undermine Israel.

Because they don't want to be citizens of Israel? :eusa_doh: And no -- there ain't gonna be a big line of moving trucks moving Israel somewhere else anytime soon..

Getting THEIR OWN state is the objective. Has been since the Mandate. And even then -- it was recognized that "SOMEONE" might have to do it for them. Because the Palis have a horrendous record of "state-building" expertise...

Jordan was a made-up country, named after a river, that never existed there before. In biblical times, it was home to the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Menasseh. It was part of the Palestine Mandate. To this very day, it's against the law for Jews to live in Jordan. Why? Because it was reserved for the Arabs, when Palestine was divided between the Jews and the Arabs. Numerous Palestinian officials have declared that there is no difference between a Jordanian and a Palestinian. 70% of that country's population is Palestinian as well as its Queen. The British established a monarchy with a Saudi ruler, just to make this newest of nations sound ancient.

Go president Obama! Better late than never.

And this is against all International laws and the UN charter so is a non starter. Unless you want to start Armageddon ?

What international law dictates what Obama votes or doesn't vote for?

The ones that would amount to him dictating who gets what land when International law forbids this from happening.

Are you that thick that you think the UN will be party to a crime against humanity

Indeed why should they when they have already lost 78% of Palestine by their stupidity in attacking the King of that land. The UN should close the book on the sorry tale and declare it at an end and it has ran over its statute, thus the land is Jewish and the arab muslims have lost what the Jews want as theirs.

Which 1967 green line as two existed that year, I propose the second one

No it is where they are living, if they could choose they would be in Tel Aviv ruling all the land

So let's see--that would make a total of 3 Palestinian states if the Arabs get their way--West Bank, Gaza and Jordan.

The Banu Hashem and Banu Saud are two different families. Transjordania was never part of the Palestine Mandate, the British "administered" the region from the Palestine Mandate to prevent the French grabbing it and adding it to Syria. Abdullah adroitly manouvered the British into creating an Emirate for him there and his family has been doing a fine balancing act ever since to stay in power.

None stop him from voting, but plenty stop the results of the vote from being actioned.

Would you accept the vote if it denied arab muslims access to Jerusalem and the surrounding areas along with no access outside of the 1967 ceasefire lines as negotiated by Jordan and Egypt in the peace treaties signed with Israel.

Have you read the mandate of Palestine and seen where trans Jordan is mentioned ?

The Avalon Project : The Palestine Mandate

ART. 25.
In the territories lying between the Jordan and the eastern boundary of Palestine as ultimately determined, the Mandatory shall be entitled, with the consent of the Council of the League of Nations, to postpone or withhold application of such provisions of this mandate as he may consider inapplicable to the existing local conditions, and to make such provision for the administration of the territories as he may consider suitable to those conditions, provided that no action shall be taken which is inconsistent with the provisions of Articles 15, 16 and 18.
