Cambridge student and Miss United Kingdom Carina Tyrrell is off to India as part of her world tour.
The medical student is visiting the country for the second time after she headed there aged 16 to take part in a humanitarian project.
She will be there as part of the competition's Beauty with a Purpose programme.
She said: "India has an important position in the global health field because of the size of the country, its rapidly growing economy, and the huge progress it has already made in health, including reducing poverty (WHO).
