The mother bought the firearm legally. She was possessing and using it in a legal manner and her deranged kid killed her, stole it and then used it in an illegal manner. How can the company that produced a legal product be held liable for misuse except in the minds of sicko Liberals?

I wonder why the families are not suing Honda.because, after all, the kid used the car to do an illegal act.

Sources said several families met over the weekend with lawyers from Koskoff, Koskoff & Bieder, a Bridgeport, Conn., law firm, to discuss a potential lawsuit against Bushmaster, the North Carolina-based manufacturer of the Bushmaster AR 15 that Adam Lanza used to kill 20 first-graders and six adults on Dec. 14, 2012.
There have also been discussions with other lawyers about filing a lawsuit against the town over security issues at the school on the day of the massacre or about suing the estate of Nancy Lanza.
The deadline to file civil lawsuits against the town of Newtown or the school board is Sunday, two years after the shooting. There are circumstances where a lawsuit against a private company, such as a gun manufacturer, could be filed within three years but that statute normally deals with product liability cases, which is not an issue here, according to several lawyers not involved with the case.

This won't go anywhere, federal law shields gun manufactures form this type of suit, the town and school are also protected by federal case law stating that a government can't not be held responsible in civil litigation for a failure to protect. I hope the families aren't paying anything up front because they have a near zero chance of winning.

I don't think the people suing Bushmaster are exactly the strongest supporter of the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. If they were then I don't they would be involved in this despicable lawsuit, which is designed to punish the firearms manufacturers.

Stupid Libtards always get it wrong when it comes to things like that. Adam Langza used a firearm in an illegal manner. It was not the gun's fault and it was not the fault of the manufacturer. Only a very ignorant Liberal that has no concept of personal responsibility wold think so. Only greedy lawyers would jump on that lawsuit.

If anybody needs to be sued it is the school district that made the school a stupid "gun free zone" preventing someone with the legal right to carry a gun for defense from stopping an illegal use by Lanza.

Liberals are always confused about things like this. They never get it right and that is the reason they have little or no credibility not to mention morals or intellect.
