Two-party system is corrupt? yes or no?

This is what happens when you vote for people who cling to an ideology & ignore the facts others are trying to tell you. It sucks when their views affect all of us but does not hurt them other than their pride. These people are far to isolated from reality & we are the pawns who get hurt by their mistakes.

I have no idea how Greenspan could not see the flaw when LTCM failed 10 years earlier. Or when George Romney allowed the meltdown of Mortgage Backed Securities that were being sold to GSE's.

The parties of today are beholden to_________.

...whoever writes the biggest check. If we want them to listen to us, we've got to start paying. Support public financing of elections

Really? How much I gotta raise to get Santorum to fund federally fund abortion and contraception? How much to get Waxman to approve an oil lease? The problem is the POWER.. These clowns shouldn't have the charter to FUND crony Capitalism.. They shouldn't have the checkbook to pick winners and losers.

Right now -- you have them looking you squarely in the eyes and telling you they have no idea how GE gets away with paying zero taxes. When they are the ones that GAVE THEM all them greenish tax credits.. And the press just buys it. And YOU think it's about the campaign cash.

Public financing is a non-starter. That's just ANOTHER form of power for them to dole out.
It's time we started to clip their wings and force them to concentrate on the basics. The lobbying would dissappear.. OR -- what lobbying was left would be there because the company or the reciepients were located in their districts. In which case, they'd be DOING the people's business.
