Two Big Losing Issues for GOP

The GOP has managed to alienate two huge voting blocks by taking impractical positions on the following issues:

1. Abortion. By implying that all abortions should be made illegal, the GOP has driven unmarried women to the Dems. At most, the GOP should consider this an issue to be decided by individual states and cite late term abortions as Democratic excess.

2. Immigration. By implying that all illegals should be deported they have "alienated" Hispanic voters, many of whom are U.S. born children of illegal parents. Since 10+ million people are NOT going to be deported, the GOP should disavow this idea and promote a reasonable immigration reform bill that requires border security.

What say you?

So unmarried woman who desire the Right to kill out of convenience are being driven to the Democrats? I'd argue they were Democrats all along.

So the fact that people want rational ways of dealing with (key word) ILLEGAL immigration is driving Hispanics to Democrats? Sorry that some people have the desire to enforce our Laws, and don't believe that those who break them should be rewarded on the backs of the Taxpayers. Shame on us.

Why don't we discuss what is two really big losing issues for Democrats well we are at it;

1. Guns. The Democrat War on Guns, which by design is a War on personal Freedoms. Going to be a real eye opener for Dems in 2014.

2. Entitlement programs. Going to be hard for Dems to explain to other Democrat voters why America cannot afford the free stuff after all the promises that were made. Obama doesn't need your votes anymore, time to get a feel what the tread pattern on a Bus feels like.

so why do Democrats keep people in poverty?.....why do schools in upper class Democratic neighborhoods have much more than those in the lower class neighborhoods?...go ahead Dean blame it on Republicans.....

Democrats keep people in poverty?

Educated people tend to vote Democrat. It's why Republicans are trying to destroy education, except for the very wealthy. As Rick proves, they even want to destroy the concept. Make Republicans not want education.

i notice once again you danced around a question Dean......why did you not answer what i said?.....and we already know your dumbass hack response to Democrats also cutting Education budgets so your credibility there is already shot....now answer what i asked above Dean not what some right wing religious fuck has to say....here it is again....

Upper Class Democrats have things like Homeowner's associations designed to prevent undesirables from ever taking permanent root in areas where they are arguably not welcome.

No, it's because local school systems are largely funded by property taxes. Of course the rich neighborhoods will "have more". Who pays more in property taxes... they guy in the 800K house or the $60K house? Rich neighborhoods get vastly more money than poor neighborhoods. C'mon... this isn't new information.

I never said anything about schools, or Taxes. I was only pointing out that rich Democrats do indeed have methods of keeping the poor out of their neighborhoods. And that isn't new information either.

When you said the word "respect", did your mouth catch fire?

no, because unlike you, i have shown it here to many on both sides......can you say that?.....

Why would I want to? Like I said in my signature:

Democrats said Romney didn't care about the 47%, he keeps his money overseas, he pays less taxes then most Americans, he wants to bring immigrants with degrees here to take jobs, he wants fewer police, firemen and teachers, wants to cut benefits for the elderly.
GOP calls Obama a thug, pals around with terrorists, Kenyan, unAmerican, Muslim, drug addicted gay, not Christian, Hitler, Fascist, Socialist, not born here, dictator.
Critics say both sides were acting the "SAME". If they are the "SAME", why are the names and accusations so different?

What I said about Romney is not only true, but in most cases, "quotes". Why would I want to play both sides and pretend I'm being "fair"? Evil and good has two sides. Do you play both?

Why would I want to?
......well i guess that answers that question......

i can accept ideas from both sides and live with them Dean......why cant you?.....you hate anything by a Republican just because its "Republican"......that's why i keep on telling you, that you are no different then many of the Righties here who are the same way.....anything Democrat....they are against.....the people in this Country with you're attitudes,is what is keeping the divide in this Country alive.....you both should be proud of the damage you have caused this Country.....

Seems like every time a Democrat is cutting education, it's because they are desperately trying to deal with a budget left over from Republicans. Look at the US budget now. Look at what Republicans did to the country. It can't be denied.
really?.....even if there was no Republican before them?.....your obsessive hatred of Republicans Dean is making you look pretty pathetic....

rdean has no idea of what he discusses. None.

he knows exactly what he is doing.....only his hatred of anything to his right is what clouds anything he is talking about.....Dean can be showing someone how to blow up a balloon and i can be fairly sure he will mention Republicans.....

Not to join the food fight, but your post gave me a thought. Has obama had a sistah souljah moment? I realize McConnell is an ass, and Boehner is tactically pretty good, but the gop house is only slightly more elevated than forty hissing possums in a barn. But. I just don't see that he's every fully come out and said, look we've got to save X$ from Soc Sec over ten years, or somehting as specific.

I'm not so naive as to think the gop would compromise without getting hit with a stick, but imo he'd gain cred with moderates.

You name some good things and then call them "socialism"? Why is American helping American a "bad" thing and every man for himself a "good" thing?

I said the American people were to smart to fall for just your sort of statement. Do not confuse welfareism with socialism, rdean.

Massive defense spending, rdean, is not a good thing.

SS is a good thing, and it needs reform

Medicaid is a good thing, and it needs to be streamlined to better and more effective.

This will be done by major cuts, by no new major revenue streams.

What simplistic and ideological answers. Cut what?

What will save health care is to create a single payer system with a knowledgeable data base like the VA has. Health care for profit is retarded and always a system doomed to fail. Making people who are sick pay to live. It's sickening. But fits right in with the Right Wing vision of "every man for himself".

so Democratic Doctors don't charge you?.....

thats true but so do Upper Class Republicans.....

The GOP has two problems:

1. People are generally idiots and believe what the MSM tells them.
2. Their leaders are only concerned with power and are willing to compromise their principles to keep it.

i agree ....but people like Dean are saying Republicans purposely keep certain groups uneducated......but they cant admit that the Democrats do the same dam thing.......

and the dippy lefty give us nothing new.

There will be massive cuts in defense, a reform in SS (means testing, retirement age slightly increased, taxes on the first $250K), and streamlining of medicaid with single payer mandate.

Do not think that the American people will confuse their entitlements with socialism.

You name some good things and then call them "socialism"? Why is American helping American a "bad" thing and every man for himself a "good" thing?

Does each individual American get to decide how they help fellow Americans or will their wealth be confiscated by the government and redistributed to someone else in their name? See why that's a bad thing?

What say you?

1. I'm pretty sure this issue is at the very bottom of voters' list of concerns right now

2. If demanding that immigration laws be enforced alienates Hispanics, oh well. At least the Republicans have the stones to say "fuck you" instead of being spineless panderers to a bunch of third world trash.

It's not just enforcing immigration laws. It's being stopped on the street and being treated like a criminal. It's being told your native language is not welcome. It's getting the feeling that you are not a REAL American

That is why they refuse to vote Republican

Can you prove that is happening or are you just blowing shit again?

New poster here & I have a question...

What if you are neither a liberal or a conservative? What if it depends on each issue and you lean one direction for some issues and the other direction on other issues.
Do ya'al have a term for posters like that?
