Trump certainly might order a US carrier to shoot down an unarmed unmanned aircraft in international waters because he would be completely ignorant to the fact that commercial, government, and private aircraft often fly close to US warships in international waters.Can you believe this? This would never happen if Trump got elected or with any other natural born Citizen president of the past. US warships often have to deal with approaching unknown aircraft in international waters and determining if they're hostile. Shoot first and ask questions later may be Trump's philosophy but it certainly would not be the Navy's.

They did not fly directly overhead....as you can plainly see from the photo...and believe me, there were several weapon systems trained on it if it got too close. Stennis broke up a high-seas pirate attack on a cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman, then sailors from an American destroyer boarded thepirates’ mother ship and freed 13 Iranian hostages who had been held captive there for more than a month.
