Trump Says Border Wall Will Stop Drugs. Here’s What a DEA Intel Report Says.

Many of the illegal drugs flowing into the United States come by air or sea.

A 24-page report prepared by the DEA in May found that drugs coming from Mexico do often enter through the southwestern border, but they do so concealed in vehicles, like tractor-trailers. Moreover, drugs coming from Colombia are more often transported by plane and boat, the reports notes.

Transnational criminal organizations “generally route larger drug shipments destined for the Northeast through the Bahamas and/or South Florida by using a variety of maritime conveyance methods, to include speedboats, fishing vessels, sailboats, yachts, and containerized sea cargo,” the reports reads. “In some cases, Dominican Republic-based traffickers will also transport cocaine into Haiti for subsequent shipment to the United States via the Bahamas and/or South Florida corridor using maritime and air transport.”

another misspoken allegation about immigration according to Trump:

Trump makes false claim about illegal immigration

Its hard to keep tract of Trump's lies, fake facts, false allegations, bloated facts, or whatever you prefer to call them, even "the truth according to Trump".

Thats funny. When I was a snot nose kid I knew drugs came in by air and sea. We had a saying that it couldnt be Black people bringing drugs into the community. No one we knew owned a boat or a plane.

Historically drug dealers use whatever means they can find to bring drugs into the country; including vehicles, peoples and animals intestines, whatever they can devise to get the crap into the country. It depends on where they are coming from, what type of drugs they are transporting and which entry points they use.

The boats down in south Florida used to bring in pot most generally. We met some old drug runners when we were down there. The fisherman started using their boats to haul in pot after Andrus made it illegal for them to make a living fishing. Some of them ended up buying planes after making enough runs using their boats. Most ended up getting caught and lost whatever they had gained (some lost their wives and families over it all) from there illicit transactions.

ON A TYPICAL DAY, CBP
Seized:
»5,863 pounds of narcotics; disrupted 222 pounds of narcotics
»$265,205 undeclared or illicit currency
»$3.3 million worth of products with Intellectual Property
Rights violations

Did he say it will stop ALL drugs, or just it will stop drugs?

Won't stop more than a couple of joints a guy might have on him. Nobody is going to make that trek with more dope than they can carry in their pocket. You could find more drugs at the gate to a Willie Nelson concert.

Either legalize drugs, or use every measure to stop them, and ILLEGAL ALIENS, gang members, terrorists, etc from coming into the country, including walls, drones, armed patrols, intel, aircraft, etc.

There is no reason to have a country without a secure border. It's just a territory with free stuff if it is not secure. Our "free" stuff.

You understand that included all drugs found at normal points of entry in big trucks, planes, and boats too, don't you? You think Jose is dragging bags of products with intellectual property and undeclared illicit currency too?

1. I just sneer (or laugh) at links from PolitiFarce.

2. A border wall will likely stop SOME drugs from coming in. Will probably mostly stop people, which is just as important.

Unsubstantiated drivel.

Poor mules bring a ton more, and you know it.

So you are against closing the border then.

Got it.

I'm for reasonable border security.

The numbers speak for themselves unless you have a political agenda. Lol

Which numbers are you talking about? You mean the total amount of drugs that are seized at normal points of entry? How many Mexicans would it take to walk across the desert carrying as many drugs as one big truck or ship or airplane entering at a normal point of entry?

Not sure why you are mentioning yearly totals. I didn't. Your link showed what was caught every day, including all the normal points of entry.
