Trump Pledges Protectionism For US And China Responds To Our Neighorbs

Way to go Trump! Pledge your protectionism at home and move our Central & South American trading partners closer to China with your "America First" propaganda tour! The stupid, foolish and undiplomatic words from your mouth and actions have definite consequences you PUTZ and you haven't even been sworn in yet!

"China Seizes Opening in U.S. Backyard as Trump Upends Policy

As Donald Trump weighs plans to tear up trade deals and deport illegal migrants from Latin America, Chinese President Xi Jinping is moving swiftly to reset relations in America’s backyard.

Xi returned from a Latin American swing last week having lavished Ecuador with $10 billion in energy and infrastructure deals, and bestowed Ecuador and Chile with China’s highest diplomatic status. He told Peru’s Congress relations were “standing at a new historical starting point.” While attending a summit in Lima with his lame duck U.S. counterpart, Barack Obama, he cast China as the region’s most eager trade advocate.

The Chinese leader’s trip highlighted how Trump’s surprise election win was tipping the geopolitical scales even before the Republican takes office with his “America First” platform. Until the vote, China had grappled with how to advance its more than 15-year foray into the traditional U.S. sphere, as its demand for commodities slows and left-wing political allies face setbacks in the region.

Now China finds itself in position to become Latin America’s primary growth driver, increasing its chances of surpassing the U.S. as the region’s largest trading partner."

So China has been working in the area for 15 years and it's suddenly Trumps fault, REALLY?
What ever you fucking do Tex, DON'T READ the Bloomberg article and take away information to edify yourself! Just continue to make up piles of horseshit instead!

Nothing but speculation, of what MIGHT occur, the only facts contained was China was coming off some bucks and have been doing so for some time. None of Trumps policies have even been finalized, much less implemented. So this is nothing but propaganda, hell it's worse, it's speculative propaganda.
Damn you be one stupid fuck who will not read or cannot comprehend what you have!

From the article already quoted in the OP you ignorant and stupid mother fucker, Tex!

No look up the definition of speculation dummy. It is already happening and therefore is beyond the point of being speculative, Tex! You're still all hat and no cattle or pecker!

Seems you forgot this part which I've already acknowledged. (my bold)

China had grappled with how to advance its more than 15-year foray into the traditional U.S. sphere, as its demand for commodities slows and left-wing political allies face setbacks in the region.

They're speculating that Trumps election will make their efforts easier somehow, which can't be proven at this point in time. Can it?

This amazing opportunity China now has down there is certainly Trump's fault

Wow, I'm impressed, a regressive throws out another opinion with no justification, GOOD JOB!

No justification? Did you miss the entire election? America just elected a big middle finger pointing at central and south America. His #1 platform point was to build a wall to keep them out for good.

If I were China, I'd be making all kinds of deals with them. Militarily as well as economically. Cuba too, once Trump cuts off our ties with them.

Damn and here I thought we were talking about trade. So you think Trumps refusal to continue to coddle criminal aliens is a bad thing for trade? I doubt those governments are going to turn their backs on the largest economy in the world for a few illegals.
Trade is certainly a big part of it. As Trump works to sever ties with our neighbors, I really doubt China won't step in to build their own.

Never heard him say he plans to sever ties, just make them more fair, I don't see that as a bad thing.

From the things he said, it sounds more like he wants to make them pay.

If Trump does what obama has been doing which is hate America and let illegals flood our borders, does that mean China won't be welcome?

No.

Makes sense. If they play their cards right, the rest of the world can use Trump's Presidency to drastically weaken America's economic power in the world.

What economic power is that? The fiat dollar is created with nothing backing it being that it has no intrinsic value....wed on't produce anything but weapons.....you really don't have a fucking clue....

So this means you side with the illegals?

America first , Americans first DrGrump , what are you , are you a fureigner or what eh DrGrump ??

of course I'm a foreigner. But our way of life is intricately attached to other western countries including the US. You don't realise that coming back to the US for manufacturing is a false economy if you're more expensive than other countries. You make your real money from exports. The only countries I can think of where there are no exports and you rely on domestic markets for your products have names like N Korea and Cuba. How well are they going?

If you're being charged $15 an hour to assemble one of your cars in Mexico and a US worker is charging you $50 an hour, which end product is going to be cheaper? And you can say, "cool, we'll put a tariff on their cars". Cool. now Mexico will put a tariff on all your goods. How do you think you exporters will like that. And if you do put a tariff on their goods, the car manufacturers will go, "Fine, we'll find other markets." Hello China!
They already sell in China, we, in my family buy Toyota because they make them here in America and employ Americans!

Trump will build walls while China is building bridges.

China has cash to burn now that they're the world's largest manufacturing nation. They're doing the same thing that the US did when the US was awash in cash after WWII took out Japanese and European manufacturing. They're investing in infrastructure in other countries, making friends and building influence.

Trump just took a call from the President of Twaiwan, which will complete offend the Chinese. Burn those bridges Donnie Boy.

What a fuckboy!

So you, asswipe, want China to tell the American President who he can or cannot take a phone call from. That puts ewe on China's side.

Who is them, I don't think he's made any specific comments on SA countries, except he'll require them to take their criminals back.

The effrontry of Americans in electing a leader that puts their interests above others!

The world will surely come to an end.

Actually you're the one ignoring reality, they've been working on it for 15 freaking years, so it is neither new or burgeoning, and speculating that Trumps election will some how ease their path is bullshit, because you have no proof that will be the case. So feel free to keep up the denial and name calling, like a three year old, but that won't change the facts.

Never heard him say he plans to sever ties, just make them more fair, I don't see that as a bad thing.

He didn't say he was going to make the deals fair. He said he was going to make sure the US comes out a "winner" in these deals. This implies that your trading partners will be "losers". "We're going to be doing so much winning, you're going to be sick of winning".

Trade agreements are supposed to be bi-lateral agreements, meaning that there are benefits for all of the parties involved. There are not supposed to either "winners" or "losers". That's the meaning of the word bi-lateral. Why would anyone enter into an agreement that was guaranteed to make them losers?

Trump obviously thinks that the leaders of other nations are as dumb as those who voted for him.

Just a short demonstration of how little you really know.

There are not supposed to either "winners" or "losers". That's the meaning of the word bi-lateral.

bi·lat·er·al
[ˌbīˈladərəl]
ADJECTIVE
  1. having or relating to two sides; affecting both sides:
"bilateral hearing is essential for sound location"
    • involving two parties, usually countries:
"the recently concluded bilateral agreements with Japan"
