Aside from dubious contribution towards this from Trump's childish tweets this is ceremonialism at this point. War was effectively ended long ago.

Trump may well earn the peace prize IF NK opens up some and agrees to give up the nukes.

If "NK opens up some and agrees to give up the nukes, it will be Kim's doing. Not trump's.

Not only that, if north and south come to an agreement, the status of the Korean conflict will not have changed. The armistice will still be in place.
