That must be it. The Venezuelan economy was just going like gang busters till Trump put on a couple more sanctions and then it all fell apart!

Venezuela has been blocked by the US from international currency exchanges and other economic sanctions, Britain seized their gold deposits, they cant get paid for what oil, gold, and other minerals that they do export. Makes it hard to pay the bills.
