Trump Brexit

What the fuck is he doing going to another country and criticizing their policies that have nothing to do with the US?

In his own ham handed way, Daffy Don is playing at triangular diplomacy, specifically putting a wedge between the UK and the EU with respect to terms of trade so the U.S. can negotiate separately with each, it's a good strategy unfortunately his bluster and lack of subtlety has caused Theresa May's opponents to side with her on the "soft" Brexit plan she's put forward.

As usual the Donald has the right idea but poor execution.

He said of Brexit, word-for-word, what I said on here the day it happened.

He said it was a tremendous opportunity for the U.S. These trilateral negotiations will better our position against the communist EU organization so they can stop fucking us over to support their irresponsible and unsustainable government actions.

But, Trump suffers from a lack of general diplomacy, that was fine in the business world, but fucks everything up when dealing with people who have to win a popularity contest with millions of uneducated/falsely-educated useful idiots as their judge.

the lies never stop -

Hours into his working visit to the United Kingdom, Trump suggested his hosts might lose out in a trade deal to Europe. He criticized British Prime Minister Theresa May's plan for a soft Brexit, while praising her former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson. He lashed out again at NATO and resumed his feud with London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

"I would have done it much differently. I actually told Theresa May how to do it but she didn't agree, she didn't listen to me."

fact is Trump didnt know what Brexit was -

the presumptive Republican nominee appeared to suggest he was did not know the meaning of the world “Brexit” - used to refer to Britain’s exit from the European Union.

“And Brexit? Your position?” Mr Woolf asked.

“Huh?”

“Brexit.”

“Hmm.”

The New York tycoon was then told what the abbreviation meant.

He replied: “Oh yeah, I think they should leave.”

What a idiot. I am surprised the Queen doesn't throw him out of her country.
You sound nd as if your very well aquatinted with Idiots!

"your" - really, idiot ?

why wouldn't britian leave?

how would you like to be told what you can sell and how much?
how about being told what you will buy and how much?

the eu tells each member exactly that.

And the US is in control of the states, or are we merely colonies. When he said their healthcare has blood on their hands, he should of looked at what he has done for healthcare in the US.
you mean return freedom?

b/c that's all he's done

Well, the UK govt will make similar laws to those of the EU. Also if the UK wants to trade with the EU (its largest trading partner, about 50% worth) then it's going to have to comply with EU laws.

So what's the difference being in and out? Not much really. Other than the pound has dropped 15% so far, and everyone's poorer.
so you're cool with being little more than a slave, doing what it's told, or else..

It does have to do with the US.

Trading and interacting with a Britain that is completely separated from the EU is a lot easier than trading and interacting with a Britain that is not fully autonomous.

Why because we would then have the upper hand? Trading with 65 million people gives up the upper hand.
No, idiot.

Yes it does. Trading with smaller countries gives us the upper hand, and that is why he also wants Nafta to break up.
The U.S. is the Walmart of the world.

Yeah. Hot air you are able to transport with aeroplanes much more easy from the USA to the UK and back again.

Walmart lost billions when it tried to bring its "culture" to Germany. One reason for: Most Germans hate high prices and empty phrases. Oh by the way. What Great Britain is doing in the moment has absolutely nothing to do with a reasonable behavior. It's crazy to go out of the European Union without any good "deal" (plan). It was anyway very very difficult to make this "deal". Thousands of people made a damned good job to make it. Now it's dead.

Germany for example has to take now care for 750,000 jobs in this context. I fear the most companies here will replace the products of the United Kingdom. And I do not think the USA will do anything to help England within their self made misery. Trump will say "America first" or "gimme your money" or something like this, that's all.

He was giving his opinion of it when asked.

What was the Hussein doing when he threatened the UK if they leave the EU?
Isn’t that what we call interfering in an election?

EU industries that compete with US companies are subsidized by EU taxes. But you already knew that.

Having a much closer view on this than most of you...

The EU has standards so people can trade fairly (so does US). If you want to be a member of a club you have to abide by the rules. UK as the second biggest country and native english speakers & commonwealth made up a lot of those rules.

Now some pretty ill informed ones of them want to leave which they perfectly entitled to do. But they are no longer members and (ex Gold Trading) trade over 50% of there good with the EU.

So that is there choice... The vote to leave or not... The vote never said where they wanted to be and what relationship they want with the EU... This is were the problem lies... It would be the equivalent of Virginia deciding to leave the union. What relationship would they have with the US, trade agreements, standards, boarders....
And to further complicate it, every other state in the union could have a veto on the negotiation results..

This whole thing has made Britain look very weak... They know it will be either a massive give away in sovereignty and influence (for favourable trading conditions) OR economic collapse...

... industries that compete with EU companies are subsidized by US taxes. But you already knew that.

That's what I call the "US-American socialism for the rich people". Your superrich companies do not pay taxes in Europe and the USA - but they get an unbelievable amount of money from the taxpayers. Amazon for example - a criminal company in my eyes - got billions of Dollars for destroying hundreds of thousands of jobs in Europe and the USA.
