If I put the socialist propaganda aside (Miracle Day series in particular), it was actually rather enjoyable.

Torchwood is an extension of the Dr. Who series (which I love, but is overtly anti-self-defense in all ways possible), but JESUS --- this movie made regular citizens 100% helpless, and only the BIGGEST of GOV was able to save humanity.

They even took open shots at the Tea Party.
 
And yet...my guess is that many who might agree with you about the horrors of big government will also think that STARSHIP TROOPERS is a hell of a movie.

Now what KIND of government does that movie tout?

The concept that only people who produce something or have risked something having a say in the government is indeed a tempting scenario. It would need a consitutional amendment though.

You do note that the people who cannot vote are still well taken care of, and have all the protections of society, they just dont get to vote federally.
