I don't know what it is about this movie, but I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. It has an amazing cast, and, yet, it just didn't grip me as much as I thought it would. It's not a bad film, and there are some good acting moments. But I get the sense that this film isn't as good as the original. I've never seen the 1979 original, so I need to watch that to be able to better judge this film. Gary Oldman was pretty good in the movie, but the whole thing sort of just felt like a remake and not in a good way.
I'd give it a 7/10
