The War in Afghanistan will never be over. Why? Because it’s extremely beneficial... and, first of all, for the USA. It goes without saying that American government just supports power balance between opposing forces. The war will continue until the compromise between official Kabul and the Taliban is achieved. Thus and so, the USA will be able to continue selling arms, ask for additional cash assets from the budget for the armed forces and, of course, use the main Afghani export product. No wonder, a lot of Hamid Karzai loyalists have been killed for the last half-year. It won’t be a surprise for me, if, namely, the fact of the Afghani high officials killing is the pretext to put off the American troops withdrawal from Afghanistan. Meanwhile the US politicos are trying to achieve their doubtful objectives in Afghanistan, American soldiers are dying in that war.

We will be out of there within 2 years. The war is doing to us what it did to the Russians. It is consuming too much money to sustain. How can we justify more than a decade at war? Approximately $455,000,000,000 spent in Afghanistan during that time. That's almost $1,500 per US citizen.
