We didn’t “turn” on anyone. Osama Bin Laden turned on us when we launched Gulf War operations from Saudi Arabia. He was furious that American boots hit the ground of his “home” nation (even though Saudi Arabia invited us to launch from their country).

After the 9/11 attacks, we told the Taliban to surrender Al Qaeda and warned them what would happen if they didn’t. They refused.
