Donald Trump stands indicted for attempting to thwart the peaceful transfer of power and subvert the rights of American citizens. This is the moment that will decide our future as a democracy.

Over the past year, state and federal prosecutors have alleged that Donald Trump went on something like a crime spree as a presidential candidate, as the sitting president, and then as a private citizen after his defeat. The charges, from Manhattan to Mar-a-Lago, include business fraud, the illegal retention of classified material, and the destruction of evidence.

All of these accusations, however, pale in importance next to the indictment handed down today.

Trump is accused of multiple conspiracies against the United States, all designed to keep him in power against the will of the voters and in violation of the Constitution. The former president—once our chief executive, the commander in chief, the leader we entrusted with the keys to nuclear hell—is accused of knowing that he lost a free and fair election, and, rather than transferring power to a duly elected successor, engaging in criminal plots against our democracy, all while firing up a mob that would later storm the Capitol.

Long before now, however, Americans should have reached the conclusion, with or without a trial, that Trump is a menace to the United States and poisonous to our society. (Senator J. D. Vance of Ohio once referred to Trump as “cultural heroin,” but that was before he decided to seek power in the Republican Party.) The GOP base, controlled by Trump’s cult of personality, will likely never admit its mistake: As my colleague Peter Wehner writes, Trump’s record of “lawlessness and depravity” means nothing to Republicans. But other Republicans now, more than ever, face a moment of truth. They must decide if they are partisans or patriots. They can no longer claim to be both.

Trump was right. America is a weaker country because we let in people from shit hole countries. The wall needs to be built ASAP. It would be great if we could deport all the undesirables, but those with citizenship are unfortunately protected.

On January 6th, 2021, it was very much a legitimate question whether there had been massive irregularities in voting, counting, and recording the election, especially in four or five key states. There was no rational explanation for how Biden could have accumulated as many votes as he did, and achieved the majorities that he did in specific precincts. How could Biden have out-scored B. Obama in key states?

Many of the results had been challenged in various courts, but those courts had uniformly NOT gotten into the substance of the complaints, but had ruled against the Trump position on procedural grounds (lack of standing, timeliness, etc.).

The essence of Trump's "demand" was that certification of the results be delayed pending a closer, factual investigation into how the inexplicable results were achieved.

The massive Leftist campaign to characterize Trump's efforts and those of his supporters as an attempt to overthrow the government was, like the "Russia Collusion Hoax," based on nothing but Leftist lies and distortions. The preposterous slew of indictments of Trump - not all of them formalized yet - are proof enough to any rational observer that this has nothing to do with criminal conduct, and everything to do with Leftists politicizing and weaponizing the criminal "justice" system.

But it's the "rational observer" part that leaves 90% of Democrats out in the cold.

One can only hope that the Washington indictments one day go to trial, so that those charges can be shoved up DoJ's ass with a red hot poker, when the actual evidence comes out. But sadly, that eventuality is at least two years out, the way our system works.

1. If you watch CNN & MSDNC you see the indictments as totally justified.
2. If you watch FNC you see legal experts saying that the indictments will be thrown out due to "free speech".
3. The judge is a hard-core democrat who worked at Hunter's law firm, so expect a conviction
4. Expect the conviction to be overturned on appeal, even if it takes the USSC to overturn it.

Trump's presidency was a miracle in itself, the biggest upset in US election history. Hillary and the DNC actually colluded with and paid Russians for "dirt" on Trump, aka the "Steele Dossier". Obama used the power of the DOJ, FBI, CIA and other Federal agencies to illegally spy on and setup Trump for failure. FBI operations Crossfire Hurricane and Razor, the Mueller Investigation, Russian Collusion Hoax, the MSM's constant 95% negative coverage and "fake news", Never-Trump Republicans, the Lincoln Project, globalists of every stripe, the entrenched Deep State who all oppose Trump's policies, the planted leakers and whistle-blowers, and the RINOs who'd rather shill for K-Street than work for main street. Then add to all of that the outright hatred shown by the House democrats toward Trump, to the point of "non-crime" Impeachment Articles, twice!!

Then during the 2020 election the high-tech oligarchs (Twitter & Facebook), et.al colluded with the FBI to cover-up the Biden crimes and buy the election; google “zuckerbucks” as an example. Not even investigating why 2020 had about 30m more votes than expected. When Elon Musk bought Twitter the truth came out. Now the Soros DA in NYC is indicting Trump for a non-crime. The Durham Report confirms that the FBI & DOJ are NOT upholding the LAWs of the United States, the US is on the verge of becoming a Fascist state, especially now since Trump was indicted for mishandling “classified” documents and the Biden crimes are being covered up, including cocaine in the WH.

Really? They hand down indictments at 8AM in the morning, freak?

Trump is accused of multiple conspiracies against the United States, all designed to keep him in power
You mean like the 2020 election admitted in print design to REMOVE Trump from office despite however people voted? THeir reason: Trump warned that they were going to steal the election, and they did.

So now, your theory is that anyone fighting for honest outcomes and saving democracy against a political coup to install a fake president is somehow a conspirator against the USA?

Oh brother, :rolleyes-41:

You have him convicted without a trial?
Not surprising, he's a white republican guilty until proven innocent.
Got it.
Might want to look at the history of jack Smith....and his record.

Is there such a thing as an educated idiot? :dunno:

Spare me. Trump has committed crimes.
Stop whining about him being white. Your white grievance bs is tired and stupid.

Trump is doing none of what you claim. All nvolved in the administration of the election said it was done correctly and trump lost over 60 cases trying to claim it wasn't.
