Things worth living for

Watching my youngest child grow into a man.
A new friend to share everything with, because we understand each other perfectly.
The hope that, one day soon, justice will prevail.

Things I want to live to see:

The ends of racism, sexism, and homophobia
The end of religious proselytizing
The end of armed conflicts
The end of any person going without basic food, shelter, and clothing

Then stop it. You are the problem, not the solution.

Stop what, little girl? :cuckoo:
Leave it to a Mann Coulter wannabe to ruin what was supposed to be a noble thread. :clap2:

Actually, Annie participated in the original concept put forth by me in the OP,
you didn't.

Aside from the obvious ( family and friends )

the smell in the air right after a summer rain

Cool Whip

a evening walk amongst the lightning bugs

watching kittens play

waking up early and realizing that you can sleep for another hour

your favorite music

burying your face in a clean towel fresh from the dryer

the minute right before you fall asleep at the end of a long day

There's more than one way to interpret "things worth living for." That my interpretation didn't match your intent is no excuse for personal attacks from somebody else.

Oh, you want to be that way huh?

The smell of steak cooking over a charcoal grill or a wood fire

Sitting on the tailgate of the truck and drinking a beer with my neighbor

Staring into a campfire

The airplane landing when you go back to visit your home town

Losing an arm wrestling match with my brother

Sunday naps on the couch

Did you read the OP, or just the title?
From the OP,
I'm in a fun mood today, so lets talk about the things worth living for. Things you've done that made it all worthwhile, things you had the good fortune of experiencing either through choice or happenstance.
I'm still in a fun mood, but you are rapidly trying to alter that.

No dice: you didn't specify that we were restricted to the items in red. Second, if you're in such a fun mood, why get so incensed over someone's misinterpretation? You appear to be assuming motives on my part that never existed.

I'm not incensed, despite your attempt to claim that I am.

Oh, a few more things that make life worthwhile,

Laughing at false accusations made on the internet

Standing up for my friends

Hearing my adult children say "I love you"

The feel of a fish hitting the end of my line

Winning my first NHRA drag race.
Delivering a baby.
Won $10,150.00 in the Maryland lottery.
Got to dance once with Catherine Bach.
Upgraded to first class on an overseas plane flight for free once.
A certain little blonde headed lady...

Ha ha Beat me to it.

I'd have to say vodka, vodka, and good friends to drive me home.

A bottle of vodka, a fast car with a good stereo, and an open highway...preferable one that passes a lot of elementary schools.

Haha, cool. You just reminded me that my daughter convinced the airline to upgrade us to first class one time. She was 13. It wasn't an overseas flight, but it was cross country.

Now, about you delivering a baby, somehow, I always thought you were a guy. :eusa_whistle:

I've only been a guy for 58 years. Before that, I'm not sure. Actually, I've delivered 3 babies and I delivered them all while I was still in high school! My mother was not very thrilled about that...
