Well, you have this wrong as well.
Prior to 15 May 1948, the demarcation between the former French Mandate (Lebanon after 1946 Independence) and the former British Mandate (Israel after 1948) was the Franco-British Boundary Agreement (Paulet-Newcombe Boundary Commission Survey Line) which separated the British Mandate from the French Mandate. After the implementation of the Armistice Agreement, the Green Line which traces the Boundary Commission Survey Line, separating Lebanon and Israel. The Blue Line is a border demarcation between Lebanon and Israel published by the United Nations on 7 June 2000.

(COMMENT)They created the blue line because Israel has no border there.
It was Palestine's border in 1949. What has changed since 1949?
The UN states that the Palestinians have the right to territorial integrity. Does that not mean that they have the right to control their borders. (Even though they cannot physically because they are occupied.)
