They just don't get it!

P F Tinmore, et al,

Well, you have this wrong as well.

They created the blue line because Israel has no border there.

It was Palestine's border in 1949. What has changed since 1949?

The UN states that the Palestinians have the right to territorial integrity. Does that not mean that they have the right to control their borders. (Even though they cannot physically because they are occupied.)
(COMMENT)

Prior to 15 May 1948, the demarcation between the former French Mandate (Lebanon after 1946 Independence) and the former British Mandate (Israel after 1948) was the Franco-British Boundary Agreement (Paulet-Newcombe Boundary Commission Survey Line) which separated the British Mandate from the French Mandate. After the implementation of the Armistice Agreement, the Green Line which traces the Boundary Commission Survey Line, separating Lebanon and Israel. The Blue Line is a border demarcation between Lebanon and Israel published by the United Nations on 7 June 2000.

Nothing, there was no state of palistan then, as there isn't one now. Palistanians have no land outside of their settling-squatting enterprise, and no borders either, of course. Doh.

The Palestinians DO have the right to protect, defend and control their borders. They just don't have any that correspond to the Blue Line; but if they did, they could.

The Palestinians never have sovereignty (control) over any territory in the region until the Oslo Accords. Thus Area "A" and to a degree Area "B" --- are the only areas to which the Palestinians could claim some control.

The "right" to territorial integrity is different from actually having and maintaining territorial integrity.

I don't see where I am wrong. The last I saw of "international borders" was Lebanon Palestine in the 1949 armistice agreements. All of Israel's so called borders are green line, blue line, de facto and the like.

As far as I can tell it is still the international border between Lebanon and Palestine.

Palestine (the territory to which the Mandate Applied) was dissolved in May 1948.

As far as I can tell it is still the international border between Lebanon and Palestine.
(COMMENT)

The Armistice Line (1949 Green Line) separates the State of Israel from the Lebanese Republic.

You can believe what you want; but, even the Armistice Agreement itself is titled the "LEBANESE-ISRAELI GENERAL ARMISTICE AGREEMENT" and NOT the Lebanese-Palestine Armistice Agreement.

And while the Armistice Agreement stipulates that the "Armistice Demarcation Line should follow the international boundary between Lebanon and Palestine," the Government of Palestine ended when the Mandate terminated. The Armistice agreement merely follows an much older line. The legal entity of Palestine dissolved with the establishment of the sovereign state declared as "Israel."

There is nothing that you can grasp a hold of that will support or substantiate a self-governing sovereignty known as "Palestine."

I noticed that Palestine was mentioned twelve times in this document. Israel was not mentioned. Palestine's international border was mentioned. No borders were mentioned for Israel.

Just sayin'.

P F Tinmore, et al,

In this response, you got it wrong "twice." And you only wrote two sentences.

You are incorrect. Your understanding of the meaning "Palestine Lebanon international border" is most assuredly in dispute. As pointed out by the President of Lebanon.
I don't see the dispute. If there is a dispute with the Lebanon Palestine border why hasn't Palestine been contacted to negotiate the problem?
(COMMENT)

The border dispute (in 2000) was between Lebanon and Israel. The Lebanese Republic has no common border with the State of Palestine; Israel --- yes. Palestine no! This you can plainly deduce from the letter written by General Émile Lahoud, formerly the President of the Republic.

The State of Palestine has no negotiating power or influence, at all, relative to the Paulet-Newcombe Line (established between the British and French Governments) (AKA: Blue Line, AKA: Lebanese-Israeli Border). And it has no negotiating power, influence or connection to, the Shab’a farmlands, Lebanese highlands on Mount Hermon, or the al-Bekaa Valley (AKA: Hezbollah controlled territory).

In technical terms, the State of Palestine has neither "standing" or "competence" in the matter.

Link to the treaty signed by the Palestinian leadership that defined this 1949 border please. As I cant find any evidence of a treaty between Palestine and Lebanon setting out any borders ?

They do have the right but first need to abide by INTERNATIONAL LAWS and negotiate those borders, they can not be imposed by a third party under current laws.

What legal entity provide the legal document that created the state/nation of Palestine prior to 1988 ?

Remembering that in 1923 the LoN abbreviated the mandate of Palestine to Palestine and specifically stated it was not a state or nation.

Correct the mandate of Palestine as no nation or state existed until 1988 and has failed to set its borders by mutual negotiations. Until this is done Palestine remains a place on the map without borders or legislature.

Like the occupation of Jerusalem from 1949 to 1967 by arab muslims who forcibly evicted Jewish owners and residents illegally

Just the names of that sultan, emir, pasha, president, prime-minister of that "state of palestine", just the names to prove the contention, we aren't asking for more, are we?

It doesn't matter how many times one cries "sugar" - one won't feel sweet in the mouth. And calling Makhmud Abbas "Mahmud Abbas" won't make him less Abu Mazen. There was no state of palistan then, as there isn't one now. Palistanians have no land outside of their settling-squatting enterprise, and no borders either, of course.
