The wealthy have been building underground bunkers for a long time, the funny thing is their money can't buy them real skills, and their money can't protect them from everything, their money can't buy them common sense , nor logic.
Those who guard them if the scenario is bad enough those guards will turn on those they work for sooner or later.

Have you ever seen those retired missile sites people buy and turn them into those bunkers. Some of them are really nice. But it seems to me they won't do a dam bit of good if your not home when lets say a nuke hits.
I mean if someone can afford that , A. they make a lot of money and are out of town a whole lot. B. even just working daily your still not home.

Or those that say "buy all Gold". A. Its heavy, you got to haul it and store it. B. Do you sit there 24-7 guarding your Gold stash? C. Do you put into Hillary's bank........suddenly closed? d. How you going to pick up and move silently with 500lbs of Gold?

Same for food....water. nothing is easy.
