If you think it is a complete end all representation of crime in this country and is proving your point... you might need to go back to school for a third degree but this time get it in something more useful than Political Sciences.

The Narrative that "hate crimes" are increasing is patently false, and is analogous to the "explosion" of "sexual assault" on college campuses. It is simply a case of more people looking for this motive and more agencies reporting it, and higher visibility in the Media.

Frankly, Law Enforcement doesn't give a shit about "hate crimes." What you have is a CRIME (usually assault or some variation of it), and the Police are looking to frame the assault in the way most likely to get a guilty plea, which gives them a figurative "check mark" for a case resolved in their favor. The only time the "hate crime" issue comes up is when it looks like the perpetrator might get off, or receive an inappropriately light sentence, then Higher Authority threatens "hate crime" prosecution to get a tougher sentence.

And of course Federal "hate crimes" are nothing more than an attempt to legalize Double Jeopardy, for crimes that Leftists don't like. Hate crimes = thought crimes, which is bullshit.

Here is a democrat that thought adding Hate crime to the law books was stupid in the first place. Our laws were good enough before with out adding this stupid element to it. A simple bar room scuffle can now put you away for a long time if it is with the wrong person. The fucking laws are already way to complicated with out adding more horse shit to it. These laws need to go by the way side along with the patriot act and other freedom losing acts we have put up with since 9/11. We need to simplify our law books not continually make it more complex.
